That guitar sounds unreal. Great playing too. I do have one question though...how does it sound with a heavier distortion going through it? I use a fuzz factory mostly for my distortion, but I'm looking for a guitar with more sustain than my current model.
@MarchofClouds Thanks! More distortion would mean more hum, since these are standard P90s. But as long as you play, you can rock everything down with it. :-)
hi again, no I saw it at a music planet store, I tried the poolside link from the Reverend site and it said the link was broken which was a pain because I wanted to know the RRP over here, whats the deal with taranaki guitars in Germany? I work for a Taranaki company which is why I ask
@timj41 No idea what's going on at Poolside. Taranaki is my old guitar company here in Germany. It has nothing to do with the region or that mountain. I am just a fan of your country. That's all. :-) I am sure Reverend will help you if you drop them a line.
thanks for the reply, I am in New Zealand and this is the first rev I have seen, I expect it was made a few years ago, we are usually a little behind with product updates over here, so this would be an older model 390 in a discontinued colour? Very nice guitar and very rare over here
@timj41 Ah! NZ is a bit far from Germany. :-) I guess you've seen it at Poolside Studios? Does it have a binding around the neck? All new guitars have one. If it's still there: Get it and say Hi from Arne. Cheers!
I own a Tobacco-Burst Reverend Warhawk II 390. They're amazing guitars! The body style feels similar to the Gibson Firebird. The Bass Contour Knob allows you to mimic a Strat or LP, with the turn of a knob. The locking tuners are excellent. The Reverend P90's are far superior to any other P90 pickups, in my opinion. Don't waste your money on a Gibson, Fender, etc. Reverend Guitars are made of the highest quality. & you wont have to pay more for the name brand.
The scale length is still the same. I don't think it as a big effect that the string runs longer behind the nut. No. Anybody else smarter than me? ;-)
Nice jam, great tones. Your camera doesn't do justice to that hot red paint job. The 2008's look sweet; love the new fretboard but a bit spendy for an asian ax.
VERY, VERY TASTY!! I'm a Reverend player myself so I know how great they play and sound. What amp (and od pedal if used) were you running into? That clip sounded great...like a Strat but with some MASS in each note. Nice cut and spank in the top end but with some serious heft while not being overly gained out or fuzzed up. Really, really like your playing style ALOT.
Guitar sounds SWEET!! I have always been a Fender fan till I picked up my Club King. I love the sound and quality of the Reverends. Nice shirt I am also near the Motor City.
wow, sexy playing man

Does having the headstock upside down make the high E string easier to bend ?
rhykko77 2 years ago
@rhykko77 , no it makes it harder to bend the high E...less string length, less "stretch". Not a big difference though.
