  • No, please! Stay in America!

  • TIL Stephen Hawking and Donald Sutherland are American.

  • I wish Indonesia are added.. This is a fu*cki* deluded country...

  • Without Atheism, science would not have evolved the way it has, neither would we be able to enjoy a plethora of unique ideas and literature.

If religion did not exist, then we would be deprived of great works of art, books, plus many ideas we have regarding laws and morality.

Even if we had one belief and the other didn't, our race would never have gotten as far as it has. Without either, we'd still be in a mire.

To the truly biased folk: please bear this in mind when defending your beliefs.

  • I don't want atheist all to leave. We need to learn to live together.

  • THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING THE PHILIPPINES. LET THE WORLD KNOW HOW DELUDED THE FILIPINOS ARE.

  • Since this is a war on beliefs, and a system of beliefs for Atheism is like defining "Nothing", then Religion has lost on the grounds of logic. You can put under fire that which does not exist, and that said, there's no rebuttal the atheists can make either. Where's the beef?

I know, Jesus would paint their brains all over the US. So go ahead, get up in arms, fight, kill, destroy all creation. God, or lack of, would want it that way...

  • @Ajjarat Atheism is knowing that we DONT know and that beats "nothing" by alot.

  • I am so happy that someone understands why. Being affected by racism has me locked up in my room, crying. Keep on making more videos.-Proud Athiest

  • your vid is so wrong.... you miscalculated

  • @Brownbuddy Yet another unsupported argument by a creationist. FAIL.

  • In Romania there are way over 0,1%, i would say 1-2%...not much, but anyway, more then what the census concluded. It was made in 2002 (from then, a lot of people lost their religion and became atheists or agnostics), and also it was not fair (there were atheists who were reported as christians). There was another census a few months ago, and in march we will have new results...we are waiting to see how much we grew in number :)

  • BTW, I'm a atheist myself but this vid is bullshit. Im not talking about how the world would look... but you tell these things as if they are facts... how the hell do you know 0,2% in somalia is Atheism?... The state those country's are in is not thanks to believe... its thanks to corrupt governments. Just... make a good vid with actually true facts.

  • @MrQwerty2524 I for one, am more inclined to lend an ear to the uploader who made the effort to compile this video whilst omitting grammatical errors. Your rebuttal lacks any facts or reference to evidence. If one was to go by the statistics given in this video, one could argue that the "corrupt government" has at least in part its root cause "thanks to belieF".

  • I'm proud to be part of the 0.2% of Pakistani citizens who are atheists :)

  • the Philippines made it, no wonder, atheism is virtually taboo in the Philippines.

  • All religion's are a caveman like belief system's with weird rituals and mass murders in their name. Religion is the reason there is no world peace. I don't remember the last time I heard of some Atheist with a large army just invaded another country and murdered 10's of thousands, or that Atheist has all these other atheist's blowing them selves up in the name of religion. I say stop religion or GTFO

  • some part of it is true. Im not atheist, but being atheist doesnt mean you are wrong. Atheism in my views is like a criticism for religion. Open minded people would know themselves better if they have ever met and think like atheist, while still retain their beliefs to their own god.

Bad thing is, bad theist and atheist person tries to barking war between theist and atheist. thus, creating a mess where we live. There is always bad people in every aspect of live, but that not goes to atheism.

  • Comment removed

  • @VladiSSius Your argument is that there are bad people irrespective of their belief system. And I agree. The point is, historically religion has been a cause for good people to do bad things, of which I can site many examples of events even recent events.

  • @londontonton With that one example, is Crusade. They use religion as basis to attack others. Well, I'm not into that part of "religion", because I see no religion in that cause. All they do is no different than just doing bad things and thats all. I follow Christianity but I dont follow the man who said hes Christian and preaching in a church.

Thats it. Having religion doesn't mean they can"not" wrong and be please to do wrong things against that who doesn't "have" religion.

  • world will be o.k. without atheist, but will be destroyed with more atheist. World with war, starvation, poverty, hunger, confusion, an unhealthy competition etc etc from thousands years ago because of the atheists who would provoke the believers.

  • @yudiweb Not true at all.

  • My fucking country, the Philippines, got the extra credit!.... Im sorry to my countrymen for saying this but its true, my country is a fucking messy country.

It is a country full of deluded Flip-finos dumbed down by various Christian sects and Catholic-sympathetic media broadcasting nonsense shows.

Its just one of the reason why the Philippines never get off from poverty,.. During election, Flip-finos choose to vote their political leaders depending on the RECOMMENDATION of their church. WTF!!!

  • @AtheistsAreSkeptics di nmn lahat ng pilipino naniniwala sa church ako ng hindi eh

  • Comment removed

  • @MegaRaptor27

then you may not be a Flip-fino..

  • @AtheistsAreSkeptics whats a flip fino

  • @AtheistsAreSkeptics Whoo awesome 2 find you here! Everyone! Check this guys channel out, hes a boss :P

  • @MrQwerty2524

No not a boss LOL Im just doing my small part in religion and science education.

  • @AtheistsAreSkeptics do you belive in churches or bible

whats a flip fino? are an atheist too like me

  • (and rotten governments)

  • You can't show the poverty of Islamic or post communist countries and say, "look, this is what will happen to America if atheists left." that just doesn't make logical sense. Their problems are more due to a lack of natural resources than religion in my opinion.

  • @Kretyen7 You obviously don't get it

  • So how are things going in communist or even post communist countries? You know, the ones that were forced to be atheists? Cuba and north Korea aren't doing so well are they? China and what used to be Russia are doing better only because of adopting some form of capitalism. Christianity is spreading like wildfire in both places.

  • Trouble with this video is that you failed to mention things like the vast majority of Nobel winners are Jewish or that the countries you portrayed are Muslim or were under communist rule.

  • @ConversationWithA u should title this if christians left america and increase some of those stats

  • @army91772 You should make a video and title it "Ignorant child talks out of his ass about things he knows nothing of".

  • Moron Troll: 0

    Sykeo:1

  • @sykeo123 Fucks given that day: 0

  • Pretty poor video. I suggest the maker learns something about statistics and critical thinking. For one, correlation is not causation. Those countries have high rates of religion, but attributing poor conditions to one factor is highly questionable. Also, some of those celebrities are not atheists. Also, it takes much more to run the country than scientists and celebs. The author did not consider that very few atheists are politicians, who provide infrastructure and leadership.

  • @wildstyle2192

How about you learn something about statistics you uneducated child?

All I see is you spewing your ignorance and garbage with no point or anything but to come here troll like the uneducated filth you are...

Anything you would like to add before you head off to work at burger king?

  • @sykeo123 "Come here troll like the uneducated filth that you are"

It's funny that you label me a troll yet you find need for both ad hominem and a red herring (place of employment). I see you didn't make the video, so please don't get bitchy.

  • @wildstyle2192

you have no fucking clue what a ad hominem is LOL you are such uneducated filth

    try google dumb shit

  • @sykeo123 I'd say "uneducated filth, "dumb shit," and "uneducated child" fall into the category of blatant ad hominem.

By the way, I suggest you employ punctuation in your rants before accusing others of being "uneducated." You could follow your own advice and "try Google."

  • @wildstyle2192

They are called insults you uneducated filth

GO TRY GOOGLE AND LOOK AT THE DEFINITION

Or must i paste it here you uneducated filth to get the point across?

  • @wildstyle2192

now when you fucking get the point either in bit when i post it or you use your fat lazy fingers to look it up yourself....

RUN along to the next video you trash.

  • @sykeo123 I suggest you read your last comment and ask yourself if it makes sense. Insults fall under ad hominem (attacks against the person instead of the argument). Please stay on topic, act mature, and stop trolling.

  • @wildstyle2192

    What part you uneducated filth?

I have no fucking clue what religion if any you follow you uneducated filth.

For all I know you are atheist you uneducated filth.

But now with you revealing the "Belief" part is a big impact

It is obvious using deduction that you are "Believer"

Pretty amazing isn't it you uneducated filth?

  • @wildstyle2192

"An ad hominem (Latin for "to the man" or "to the person"), short for argumentum ad hominem, is an attempt to negate the truth of a claim by pointing out a negative characteristic or belief of the person supporting it"

You feel stupid yet you uneducated filth?

  • @sykeo123 I see you can copy and past from wikipedia. Too bad you didn't scroll down to the subheading "abusive." It reads "Abusive ad hominem (also called personal abuse or personal attacks) usually involves INSULTING or belittling one's opponent in order to attack his claim or invalidate his argument, but can also involve pointing out true character flaws or actions that are irrelevant to the opponent's argument."

    I rest my case.

  • @wildstyle2192

I did not discredit based on a insult... and responded to everything you said you uneducated filth

It seems posting a defintion isn't enough for you to actually understand what the word means...

Do I need to walk you through the definition step by step?

    Do I you uneducated filth?

  • @sykeo123 Yes, you did. You never addressed any part of my original post, but rather proceeded to call me "uneducated filth," which you continue.

I hope your profile is not correct and you are not a PhD student...

  • @wildstyle2192

btw uneducated filth if i was not to even address your claim at all.... not even to mention it.

Guess what than thats not a ad hom either...

Amazing what you don't know isn't it?

    Isn't it you uneducated filth?

  • @wildstyle2192

"Abusive ad hominem (also called personal abuse or personal attacks) usually involves insulting or belittling one's opponent in order to attack his claim or invalidate his argument"

This is what you were talking about right you uneducated filth?

What claim am I discrediting at this very moment by calling you fat ugly stupid uneducated filth?

    NONE

it only applies to fucking discrediting a argument.

Do you understand what it means now you uneducated filth?

  • @sykeo123 I see you don't understand that, by definition, ad hominem is a logical fallacy of irrelevance. You responded to my original comment about the video. Rather than addressing an actual statement, you immediately called me uneducated and made assumptions.

  • @wildstyle2192

"Rather than addressing an actual statement, you immediately called me uneducated and made assumptions. "

Rather than addressing your statement I insulted you no assumption was made.

I did not address your statement or dismiss it based on insults

Later down the road I dismissed your statement by pointing out it is a Ad Hom

  • @sykeo123 "No assumption was made."

So when you said I worked at Burger King, then that wasn't an assumption?

You also claimed I was a "believer," which is committing the false dilemma fallacy.

"I did not address your statement based on insults."

Probably because you never actually addressed it. You only said insults.

  • @wildstyle2192

"So when you said I worked at Burger King, then that wasn't an assumption?"

    It was a statement.

Is it a incorrect statement? Stating a incorrect statement isn't a ad hom

I have a feeling you are fishing for ad hom's i stated but I do suggest to look at definition again you uneducated filth.

"Probably because you never actually addressed it."

See that is a statement and incorrect one as which can be shown in to posts I have made now.

    Anything more you retard?

  • @sykeo123 "Stating a (sic) incorrect statement isn't a ad hom"

An insult is an ad hominem, though, and you've admitted to saying insults. I see you're copping out and equivocating.

Do you want to actually address my original statement, or do you find satisfaction in this sophomoric labeling?

  • @wildstyle2192

there you go labeled your entire original post

Go look at definitions and see for yourself.

  • @wildstyle2192

    dumb ass

  • @sykeo123 Enjoy the rest of your trolling. Good night.

  • @wildstyle2192

yup think you should go make new channel to troll with kid

    BYE BYE

  • @wildstyle2192

I'll shall await a laugh...... from your next post

Or you can do what a lot of people who make a channel just to post on one video on same day they post... go run off

  • @wildstyle2192

Any more questions you uneducated filth?

  • @wildstyle2192

    logic what a bitch huh

  • @wildstyle2192 ''For one, correlation is not causation'' It sure isn't. But since it's nearly impossible to find all causes to one phenomena, correlation is usually quite relevant. ''attributing poor conditions to one factor is highly questionable.'' I think what it shows isn't that atheist is better, but that religion isn't NECESSARILY better. ''very few atheists are politicians'' Actualy, it's impossible to know because alot of politician will lie about their belief to get vote

  • @JFGmma How can you say it's "impossible to know," yet "alot of politicians will lie" for votes? Sounds like you switched from being uncertain to being confident, so that's an assumption. You can only go by what they say and write. Being cynical doesn't make a very compelling argument. In that case, this video is invalidated since the survey respondents in those nations may have been lying, as well.

  • @wildstyle2192 It's just a well known fact that saying you are atheist isn't a good thing in politic... It doesn't take a genius to understand that... Most politicians you consider religious never actualy SAID they were religious, but since they come from religious family people think they are too.

  • @JFGmma More assumptions. On what basis do you support that alleged "well known fact." I never mentioned any specific politician, so I don't know how you're supporting that statement, either. And many politicians mention religion in their writings and interviews.

  • @wildstyle2192 So, you can't imagine how saying you are atheist would be a bad thing for getting elected in a country where 90% of the people are religious? If so, we are done debating. You are just totaly retarded.

  • @JFGmma For one, that doesn't indicate that it would affect votes. Nice ad hominem, by the way. Try to stay on topic and actually make compelling arguments. Blacks make up only 13% of the country, yet people elected a Black President. There are even fewer Mormons, yet Romney is popular. JFK was elected and popular despite being Catholic. Also, religiosity isn't so easily defined. Someone can be defined as belonging to a religion, yet never attend a religious service and seldom praying

  • @wildstyle2192 Have I ever said that being different would totaly stop you from being elected? No. I said it doesn't HELP. Any intelligent atheist politician will hide the fact that he is an atheist because it will have a negative impact on his chance of being elected. As I stated earlier, it is really simple logic, you are supposed to understand that. If not, we can't debate, just like it's impossible to have a debate with a dog.

  • @JFGmma You could help yourself by quoting your own statements. You didn't say "it doesn't help." You said "saying you are atheist would be a bad thing for getting elected." In other words, it would be a hindrance. It was 10 minutes ago, so no need to flip flop. There's also no need to use insults (ad hominem), which is a logical fallacy. I just gave you several historical precedents of leaders who have succeeded despite apparent differences between them and constituents.

  • @wildstyle2192 Bad thing = hindrance = doesn't help getting elected -_- My native language isn't english so maybe that's the problem but to me it looks quite simple. And yes I do realize you gave me several leaders who have succeeded despute apparent differences, but it doesn't mean that these differences didn't have a negative impact for them.

  • @wildstyle2192 Also, you should learn what an Ad Hominem is. An Ad Hominem is saying thesis A is false because the one stating it is (Insert insult here). What I did, is say you are stupid because you can't understand a really simple concept. I never said your thesis was false because you are stupid, but that I won't debate with you because I don,t like debating with stupid people.

  • This is so true another video that really gets you thinking is the one showing that nations that consider themselves "atheist" are actually peaceful. Atheism is like religion. It's only the extremists you ever hear about. Most atheists would just like to sit down and talk, there are times when you have to put your foot down, but think how much war we wouldnt have if everyone was atheist......but that too would have negative effects....

  • I would like to point out that Stephen Hawking is not American. So he is not your to loose, atheist or otherwise.

  • @jamese101 Christopher Hitchens isn't American either. Though he did live there, RIP.

  • I'm not really sure on why Abortions numbers would increase? Christians are constantly pushing for that to not be a choice. So it would be overpopulated. Divorce rates is a wishy-washy thing. The true followers of the bible do not believe in the idea of divorce. But hey, I'd like for this to happen. Just give me a ticket to Finland and some extra money to move and I'll be on my way. Just so I can sit back and laugh my ass off.

  • @SliverMonstrosityInc Me too! Book me a one way ticket on a cruise to Finland or Norway, shoot I'll even take Netherlands. What a social experiment that would be, if anyone lived to see the results that is--all the religious folks would bomb each other off the planet me thinks, lol.

  • @gmj2012 Me thinks alikes with you's.

  • the fools who are fighting below this video, on the name of religion are an other example

  • This country would be 10x better without those blind fools

  • @lazyarbiter1 Oh yea, just have allmost every scientist, allmost every inventor, allmost everyone who really helps the country leave the country. If you got your wish your contry would not even be on par with the poorest easteuropean country

  • Having conversed with several atheists, I can now say beyond all doubt that atheists are morons..and misguided fools and probably terrorists too. How can I say this? I conversed with several and not only were their stands against religion just pathetic, several threatened to burn down my church. If that's not a terrorist threat, then this world has lost its mind and it's all atheism's fault.

  • @MrTrilliondollarman Churches are being burned down around the world e.g. Nigeria and Chad, but not by atheists. This is being done by religious fanatics like yourself, who have lost their ability to differ between right and wrong.

  • @ssesf

why would christians burn their own churches down? Doesn't make sense, does it? The reality is these burnings are being committed by Muslims, so really this makes Islam look bad, not religion in general. However, the person who threatened this was not Muslim; he was atheist so my point still stands.

  • @MrTrilliondollarman actually, like in Norway, many churches are being burned down by ATHEISTS. At the end of the day, they are the exact same scum as the misguided religious zealot, in fact they are much worse.

eg 1 atheist forcing his belief in banishing the lord's prayer from a graduation ceremony of 600 students. The school caved into that ONE atheist's demand (thats how much we have become fucking pansies in the west, giving voice to the minority while fucking over the majority).

  • @MrTrilliondollarman

yes i am a moron cause i earned higher education degrees

while you work at burger king.

  • Dog,you miss the point.Just because people believe in God doesnt mean they live how he stated they should live.Look at iran dog.ww3 is starting there in the next week, month year or 2 years.Wont be long and you dogs will learn the truth.

  • fuck all ahtiests in this world they deserve some cock in their face shooting a cum

  • @tareq55070127tareq

you are a loving christian huh

  • @tareq55070127tareq

Why? Atheists are more moral than religious people like Christians.

  • 10% of the population at large, but only 0.21% of the prison population. That says all we really need to know.

  • Why does current America, constitutionally a SECULAR state that has included a several atheists among its illustrious Presidents (both parties but mainly Republican), entertain the nonsense that to be Atheist is in some way left wing, unAmerican etc?

I am European where atheism is respected & accepted as a personal choice. We understand that atheists can be of any politics & many conservative upholders of western values - private individuals like myself & people in public life are openly atheist

  • God is in 1:05

  • Could you imagine if all the theist in America left? That would be sweet.

  • No one would have a problem with Atheists if they didn't argue for secularism (a doctrine that rejects religion and religious considerations). Separation of Church and State just means the govt cannot set a national religion. There's nothing wrong with govt promoting religious freedom.

What would atheists say if the argument was reversed, where the state cannot endorse atheism? I'm sure you'd view it as a suppression of your freedom if Christians did to you what you did to us and rightfully so

  • @groam6666 The state can't endorse any religious beliefs. What you just said makes absolutely no sense at all.

  • @ayoriceball Ah. So, the chaplains in the military should be dismissed. Since our founding, the congress were lead in prayer before session. Most presidents swear to protect the Constitution, while their hand is on the Bible. I can't believe it, the founders created the Constitution, and decided to endorse a religion.

Do you really believe, that the intent of the founders was to create a State where nothing religious can be on public property?

  • @groam6666 No. Is that what I said?

I guess faith isn't that strong then. Many people in the government do things that would contradict the Constitution.

I don't think that was their intent. They wanted people to be free to believe whatever they wanted. They didn't want to shove beliefs down anyone's throat, force them to think a certain way, or spend money for a certain religion though.

  • @ayoriceball Your 100% correct. I also don't want to have anyones beliefs rammed down my throat either. The only way to ensure this, is by making it ok for everyone's beliefs to be represented and not favored. The only way to ensure freedom, is by facilitating freedom of religion and speech, not endorsing. We've been doing the opposite. If I get enough votes, I can silence your rights to criticize me and vice versa. We've both lost freedom, and yet the problem is getting worse.

  • I cant read too good so my spelling might not be 100% If you have proof god is real then show it. but untill then why pray to your self and look a dick doing it?

  • Are there only 10% atheists in USA? Thats fucking scary

  • Atheism isn't equal to prosperity. North Korea is virtually 100% Atheist and it's a poor, starving mess. Russia is like 80% Atheist and they too have massive economic and social issues. Same thing with many other Atheist nations. Sure in general highly Theistic countries are shitholes, but Atheism isn't without it's examples.

  • @ushockey08 Uh... no. No one claims that prosperity is coupled with Atheism. You are adding your own subtext to the point of the video. This video is only on if Atheist left America. Nothing more or less. As well in countries where death was the penalty for worship you'd see a large number of none believers as well. Christianity spread through Europe the same way and so did Islam in the Middle East. There has never been a nation founded solely on Atheism so your concept is rather weak at best.

  • @ushockey08 Russia? 80% Atheist? Have you ever been there? There's more than large amounts of Catholic-Orthodox than there is Atheist, Agnostic, Irreligious. Russia is mostly an irreligious country though. Meaning most don't follow an organised religion. As for North Korea, their religion is worshiping Kim Jung-il and now Jung-un. We saw something similar under the Stalinist regime in the Soviet Union during the 40's.

  • Lets look at history, Constintine Made Chrisianity the state religion and we all know what happened to Rome.

America is next to fall because of chrisianity, because when you give tax breaks and power trips to people they take advantage of them.

America has turned into a sespool of religions and of unmoral people.

Maybe this is the best time to start my own religion worshiping my broken clock radio.

Oh great clock radio, will you show me the signs to be fruitfull in this life. Snooze less son

  • Well, Amercia is already fucked up, there is no need for the athiests to leave. Look at the recent bill that went through in america, and the economics in the country. Sweden with its 85% atheists are one of the most succesfull democracies in the world, whilst america have had its golden age and is going fast down the toilet. I cant say this is because of religious people, but im sure it would be worse if they left.

  • Everyone does know that this video contains a fair deal of bullshit, right? For just one example: it says that if all Atheists left America, we would lose "the majority of Scientists." In fact, Atheists are a minority among Scientists. It is true that there is a higher occurrence of atheism among the scientific community than there is among the general population, but at only about 30% according to the latest studies (see the Ecklund/Scheitle studies, for one), it still constitutes a minority.

  • For another example, the "0.25%" of the prison population is also a bogus number. This figure comes from a 1997 Federal Bureau of Prisons study wherein 0.21% of inmates listed "Atheist" when asked for their "religious affiliation." Unfortunately, close to 20% of the inmates refused to answer that question in the study. Ergo, the Atheist inmate population is most certainly at least a fair stretch higher than 0.25%, and could, although very unlikely, be as high as 20%!

  • @BloatedSensations You're either a dumbass or a liar. The study shows over 80% of inmates are of judeo-christan faith. And about the 20%, they did not exactly refuse to answer the question. It says Unknown/No answer. The athiest population in that study was 0.21%

Don't make stupid claims like "be as high as 20%!", because that is not only wrong, but shows how much of an idiot you are. Do you like to spread propaganda?

  • @ayoriceball Jesus! You can never write anything othe internet without running into some freakin' moron that can't get their head around simple concepts a typical six year old can breeze through. It gets frustrating. Look, genius, get a hold of Golumbaski's original study and look for yourself. Those who claimed to be Atheists were 0.209% of the inmates WHO ANSWERED. But, 19.75% of those asked did not answer the question. It shouldn't be too freakin' difficult to figure out...

  • @ayoriceball ...We don't have any reliable data on those 19.75% that did not list their religious leaning. So, brain-wave, unless you have some sort of evidence that not a single one of those 19.75% could have been Atheists who refused to answer, then the 0.25% number is almost certainly a fallacy and misleading. And, the real number could possibly be as high as 19.96%! And, yes, they did exactly refuse. They were asked, they declined to answer, THAT'S A REFUSAL, you freaking mung!

  • @BloatedSensations It also says Unknown. Learn to read English.

  • @ayoriceball Putting aside for a moment the fact that whether any of the unknowns were due to some reason other than refusal is actually entirely irrelevant to the matter at hand. And, the fact that your choosing that as the sole point of your response illustrates a pathetic attempt on your part to try and save face by grasping at some irrelevant fragment that maybe - perhaps - you might not have been entirely wrong about after being made to look stupid. What's your point?!?!?

  • @BloatedSensations The atheist population of the inmates in that study could NOT be as high as 19.96%. It's obvious you are completely incapable of reading and understanding basic English and/or mathematics. Read it again. My point is; you're a dumbass.

  • @ayoriceball Well, you're sort of right - it's actually HIGHER than 19.96%, all things considered. The study lists 18,381 out of a total of 93,112 surveyed as "unknown/no answer". That's 19.741% of all surveyed listed as unknowns. The study also lists 0.209% of the knowns as identifying as Atheist - which works out to 0.16% of total. It lists a further 3.97% as not surveyed. 22.93% (percentage of total for no answer + not surveyed) + 0.16% + 3.97% = 27.06% potential Atheists....

  • @BloatedSensations Nope. You have failed to take into account the other religions.

  • @ayoriceball What in the hell do the other religions have to do with anything? My GOD, man! Does you brain not work? 26.9% are unknowns and 0.16% of total identified themselves as Atheist. Those figures don't change no matter what the other religions are. If the entirety of the other religions were freakin' Raelians or something, it wouldn't change those numbers. 26.9% + 0.16% = 27.06% possible Atheists.

  • @BloatedSensations You're mentally retarded.

"80.259% (74731) prisoners' religion is known."

The number of known Atheists in that study is 156, or 0.209%.

    80.259% + 27.06% = > 100%.

    You're mentally retarded.

  • @ayoriceball 80.259% (74,731) of the inmates THAT WERE GIVEN THEY SURVEY is known. 3.97% (3,856 ) were not given the survey. Look at the figure for "total in prisons", the number is 96,968. The 80.259% of knowns, therefore, is only 77.07% of the total in prisons. 77.07% (knowns) + 22.93% (no answer + not surveyed) = 100.00%...

  • @ayoriceball ... Now, I see that in my comment from the other day that I made a slight error in adding the percentage of not surveyed twice, as I had already included it in the equation as part of the no-response+not-surveyed, and then added it again separate, forgetting that I'd already included it as part of an earlier figure. But, so what? It's irrelevant. Even without that error, the numbers still prove me correct...

  • @ayoriceball ...But, in fact, let's go even further than that. For the sake of illustration - let's say I'm completely wrong on the total numbers. Let's say there is no "not surveyed" figure to account for. Let's say the 80.259% accounts for 100% of the knowns throughout the entire system. Even then, I'm STILL right, and you're STILL wrong - because there are still 19.74% unknowns, you feeble-minded freakin' embarrassment!

  • @BloatedSensations You can't say that because you don't know. And you were wrong on the numbers before. Which proves you're not smart.

  • @ayoriceball Because I don't know what??? Because I don't know what the religious affiliation, if any, of the unknowns might be? Is that what you're saying? If so, then, duh! THAT'S MY POINT! And, I've never been wrong on the numbers. I made one error, entirely insignificant to my argument, for which I volunteered a correction. That's not being wrong on the numbers - whether I had made that mistake or not, my calculations prove you wrong regardless.

  • @BloatedSensations Your original point wasn't that strong anyways. even if there are that many atheists, the majority are still of christian (or related to christian) faith. By the majority, I meant that 80%. Maybe we should argue over a more up to date survey. This one was taken many years ago and so I feel it doesn't adequately represent the current population.

And you WERE wrong on the numbers. Did you stop to check your answer?

  • @ayoriceball You don't even know what the fuck you're talking about. My point, to which you took exception, and to which you volunteered your criticism, was that the statistic offered in this video is bogus and misleading - that it comes from a study that actually doesn't say what the producer of the video claims it says. How many people are actually Christian or not is entirely irrelevant. You're trying to pull straw-men out of your ass in a pathetic attempt to save face.

  • @BloatedSensations Based on the study used in the video, about 0.25% of the prison inmates were atheist. You are saying this number is a lie. You claim this number is higher without showing any evidence for it, and you also state that it is purposely meant to be misleading. I'm not trying to pull a straw-man out of my ass. You're trying to put off the main topic at hand here, and also trying to make it look like you're not a dumbass for failing to use basic mathematics.

  • @ayoriceball ...AND, it could even be higher than that! Considering that, in order to gain protections from jail-house religious groups, curry favor with parole boards, and/or earn good behavior points, Atheists will sometimes lie about their religious leanings and take up volunteer religious studies/activities when incarcerated.

  • @BloatedSensations Evidence please. No evidence, no credibility.

  • so im not the only one who thought "wait. why is stephen hawking in this video? isnt he a british professor @ cambridge?" phew

  • @conversationWithA Stephen hawkings is British.... but we'll over look that for the otherwise factual video.

  • "When a man is freed of religion, he has a better chance to live a normal and wholesome life."

  • "Religion makes enemies instead of friends. That one word, "religion," covers all the horizon of memory with visions of war, of outrage, of persecution, of tyranny, and death. That one word brings to the mind every instrument with which man has tortured man. In that one word are all the fagots and flames and dungeons of the past, and in that word is the infinite and eternal hell of the future."

  • @r6racer53 religion maybe, but Jesus don't

  • See all the people in this video. We atheists have the potential to create the most advanced country in the world if we left. America is going to shit and is nobody respects this toilet we call a nation.

  • @XxI3ioHazardxX I'm with you on this one.

  • Why was Stephen Hawking on the list? He's British, and lives in Cambridge.

  • "The United States of America should have a foundation free from the influence of clergy." ~ George Washington

"Religions are all alike — founded upon fables and mythologies." ~ Thomas Jefferson."

"It is from the bible that man has learned cruelty, rapine, and murder, for the belief in a cruel god makes a cruel man, and the bible is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind" ~ Thomas Paine (1737-1809)

  • @cpmondello I find it hard to believe that Paine actualy said that. Did he and you, really believe that before the Bible was written no cruelty rapine or murder existed in the world?

  • "All national institutions of churches whether Jewish, Christian or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit. … My own mind is my own church." ~ Thomas Paine 'The Age of Reason' (1794)

  • "The Christian god is a three-headed monster, cruel, vengeful and capricious. If one wishes to know more of this raging, three-headed beast-like god, one only needs to look at the caliber of people who say they serve him. They are always of two classes: fools and hypocrites." ~ Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

  • "The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin, will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter." ~ Thomas Jefferson wrote, in a letter to John Adams (April 11, 1823)

  • only around 3-5% of Americans are atheists not 10% and I dont think it matters of one is an atheist just as long as he isnt to religious.

  • To the religious posters who think there's no reason not to go around raping and killing unless you believe God will send you to hell: You have no integrity, and I would REALLY hate to be in the vicinity if you ever give up religion. You'd be an absolute terror.

  • atheism supports every crime in the world

"do what ever you want and thin just die"

  • @SA33DBOSS no just no, atheism doesnt support anything

  • @SA33DBOSS you ignorant dumbshit athiesm does not support anything. Atheism is jsut the belief there is no god.religion on the other hand is a free pass to do what ever you want.Kill, steal, rape, if you beleive in god and you repent you will be saved. GTFO most of the peopel in proson are religious.Stop defending the b.s.

  • @Hectom8 do you realy believe in that

well lets see 1st. I didn't insult you and you did so who do you think is good person. you or me

2nd. from your point of view if i was the worst man in the world and died its the same if i was the greatest man in the world.

so nothing will make me be a good person. wow that is just .....

  • I was agreeing with until you mentioned "more teen pregnancy" and "more homelessness".

  • @DrWatsonPostmortem

thankfully facts do not rely on you agreeing with them.

  • Per capita! Atheists are unlikely to be pregnant teens, homeless, or criminal because they are less likely to be troubled riffraff....comprendo?

  • @sidecar771 Bullshit. Christians are less unlikely because they have moral thinking that do not allow them to do that. Atheists are "free"

  • @norcorneliocastrogom The confusing use of a double negative does not alter the fact that there is no material support (evidence) for your rustic point of view.

  • I was agreeing with everything you said until you got to 2:01, Romania looks nothing like that. And I can bet you there is way more then 0.1% . No offense, but that is bullshit.

The image you posts are of gypsy which are -A MINORITY- in Romania. And you posted the image of a dirty home, Romania isn't dirty, we aren't poor please /watch?v=lLV3pm_B10Y

Please stop with this anti-Romania propaganda :(

  • @GTAVidz1

"I was agreeing with everything you said until you got to"

Thankfully facts do not rely on you agreeing with them.

  • @sykeo123

How the hell are these facts? Can I see some statistics? Just because I'm an atheist doesn't mean I'm automatically going to believe every outrageous claim atheists make against religious people.

  • @DrWatsonPostmortem

see the little button called "Show More"

    all sources are provided...

Anything else you want uneducated trash... lol you couldn't even figure out how to push "Show more"

  • @GTAVidz1 ...Although Romania is now a member of the EU, few people realise that 14% of the population still live on £1.08 per day or less (the World Health Organisation describes this as “absolute poverty”) and the government states that 44% of the total population still live “in poverty”. Most of this poverty can be found in the rural areas of the country and patients with a terminal illness are particularly severely affected.
