  • "Bathroom bowl" LOL

  • Did I miss something? Why didn't they spin the wheel? They sure liked to sell the booze then. WOW! A dead animal! I wonder how amny of them were murdered for that coat. And the screams of delight throughout the audience. EEEWWW! I bet Vanish had acid in it OH GOODY! Pearlene won the sacrificed animals.

  • Awesome!! Can you imagine that Vanish advert on tv these days?? If you tube still did stars, I'd give you ten!!

  • I really wish Bob would've let this episode, along with the first episode, to be on the DVD set. He seems to be real stubborn when it comes to fur coats and The Price Is Right. I guess he's trying to protect his image and promote animal rights as much as possible

  • The one who won her showcase. Her showcase is actaully worth $2,320 a difference of $1,820

  • Wouldn't it be funny if Bob Barker went to Pearline and said to her "Pearline the actual retail price of your showcase is...$499!"

  • I wonder how much of that was consumed by Bob and the crew after the show? :D

  • This is the ONLY episode where they did not reveal the ARP of both showcases. Probably another reason that this episode was removed from the DVD set. Imagine if this were to happen today... there would be investigations and Congressional reviews of all game shows, perhaps the end of TV game shows? Who knows?

  • Well, I'll end the show the way Bob would have wanted it....."....Remember to have your pet's spayed or neutered... Goodbye, everybody"

  • @UMW2006

and of course by Johnny saying "Stay tuned now for Gambit, on most of these stations!"

  • Fur coats were given away throughout the 70's on showcases.

  • you would never see any show hocking wine today pretty cool, the 70s were good

  • Amazing how primitive the set looked back then. This was and is the the best era of TPIR no doubt.

  • Exactly! Why could'nt CBS keep the old look of the set from 1972? It looks a lot better then then it does now!

  • I know! Aside from minor color changes over the year, the set looked just the same as it does here right up to 2007, then it went all downhill with its new look!

  • wow the cue from the first showcase was common for showcases in the early 90s...fur coats...ummm no....

  • This is the only time they didn't reveal both showcases actual retail price.

  • Her podium does flash the total $ won, so we could subtract and figure it out, but it still is weird that Bob didnt reveal it.

  • perline won $1316 total in the IUFB and Pricing Game.

The Total winnings of the day was $3915, so subtract the first total from that and you get $2609.

So when you watch these first shows, listen for the actual retail prices for the IUFBs and the winnings from the pricing games and you can determine who is the top winner and runner up in the showcase.

  • @harvsoul, you forgot the small prizes Pearline won during Bonus Game. Subtracting those, her actual total for her showcase is $2364.

  • @RingtailStudios Oh, My bad. I rewatched this is double checked my scores and you are indeed right.
