To kick off the show on the staurday i thought this was special! Having not seen a fast jet display for 2 yrs due to last yrs cancellation i was mightily impressed with this display and felt it set the bar for a overall high standard of fast jet performance all day!

In fact its EF-18M, not A.
All spanish EF-18A and F-18A were first upgraded to A+ standard (equivalent to C) and then upgraded to M standard :)

the high angle alpha pass was the best :O higher than the f16 for sure. i loved the slow high angled turns too. much better than typhoon ones...

at 5.56 you see when it hits mach 0.95 and the vapour cloud around it nice camera work my friend

Great video. My favourite display of the day. Pleased you got the bit where it got close to mach 1. I thought I'd imagined it.
