  • Nice work kid. On a side note my instructor would have a heart attack if he saw people wearing shoes on the mats.

  • whoa, really nice technique and the trainer looks great as well.

  • Mr Popejoy, How many fights have you had? Your fighter and pad holding skills rocks by the way.

  • @LiLmJBayBehh

    I only had 18 fights :(

I Have guys who had that many in one year, lol.

    Thanks for the compliment, btw.

  • competitive fancy twins gloves? have never seen em before ;o

  • nice toss hahaha!!!!

  • smart pad holder and his daimond

  • If you dont mind me asking, how old is this kid? Im 15 1/2 and am starting muay thai training next week. Any tips?

  • @toyhut2 Stretch PLZZ if u dont u might get injured QUick TRUST me All ways warmup correctly dont just rush it!

good luck and control ur breathing!

  • @toyhut2

He was 15 when this was filmed

  • if no one told me he was american i'd think he was thai

  • i think his kicks turn over good but he isnt to squared off and i noticed a little flat foot action. jab should also be more cork screwed and keep those hands up. head and shoulders should be constantly moving to. but thats where a good boxing coach would help a lot. potential is forsure there at his young age.

  • @pacificswell To make an attempt to add even constructive criticism to technique THIS CLEAN is simply insulting to me...and I dont even know this student or coach! EXCELLENT work coach even if this young man never fights, that's some beautiful Thai Boxing!

  • @pacificswell thais dont teach head movement unlike boxing bcos in muay thai u hav head kicks. However, thai fighters do use head movement like buakaw and yodsaenklai for example but thats only to react from a punch, they dont keep their heads moving constantly

  • also, who's the coach? i want to train with him, the way he holds reminds me of a thai trainer.

  • @Rjpowell808

Nathan, the kid hitting the pads is American. I'm his coach, my name is Bryan Popejoy. Thanks for your kind words.

  • very very nice! is he an american? I've never seen an american kid with this much skill and technique at this age.

  • Good work.

  • NICE TRAINING!!!!!

  • good

  • very smooth pad work. i haven't seen the steep over of the cross body shin block before, i'll have to remember that one!!

  • Nice style!
