  • Great lifts but work on exploding on the catch; looks like the bar is hitting your upper chest/collarbone before it gets on the front delts.

  • that was epic

  • that dude used bumper plates. that's for sure. alos, how in the hell plastic plates would jump so high? :D

  • dude that sucked. i mean yea its heavy and real weights (idk what some of these idioits are saying) but if you improve your technique and become more explosive you can put up probably 325

  • lol nice, i dont see why ppl say its fake, those are the exact kind of 45's and 25's that we use at skewl

  • @XxFufillerxX

Appreciate the help and no disrespect but a couple points have to be made. This is combo training not olympic lifting. J is a competitive athlete not an olympic lifter and does not compete in OL. Read the description and title clearly. Power Clean (floor) + Hang Clean (knee) to Front Squat, to PRESS. The point was more to get the weight up.

Also at this time (3.5 yrs ago) that 275 was probably the most he'd ever put overhead. it was a great effort and we were jacked up about it.

  • If they are real, way to go man, you are definitely stronger than me...I do bench in highers 200s and max out at 325 but doing clean and press, you got to have confidence...

  • FAKE those weight are plastic training weights..look at the way they bounced when he dropped them....

  • @MrChutzpah2002

haha come on dude, you cant be that stupid. go do your homework. he's using RUBBER BUMPER PLATES. look them up. 45 lbs bar, 2x45 lbs on each side 1 x 25 on each side.

  • @Davs1825 45lbs plates are not that thick, look at their thickness....maybe you are right and I am wrong. I am saying it looks very fake. If I were to put money, I will say they are plastic weights not real metal ones.

  • @MrChutzpah2002

haha things you need to do... A. re-read my last post. they arent metal. they are RUBBER BUMPER PLATES B. go buy some rubber bumper plates and start training for real cause you obviously have never thrown weights around if this is your first encounter with bumper plates.

this is pretty ridiculous that i'm even having this conversation so if theres anything else you'd care to add feel free but id rather not waste any more of my time explaining this to you.

  • @MrChutzpah2002 listen to the sounds bro

  • @MrChutzpah2002 i have bumper plates that are recycled rubber that look exactly like that

  • @MrChutzpah2002 yes they are. you are a retard.

  • @MrChutzpah2002 fucking idiot

  • @SuicidalBuu Calm down moron!!

  • @MrChutzpah2002 are you a fucking moron yes or no??!!

  • @semo55jk I heard your mom is, that's why she gave birth to another one,lol

  • @MrChutzpah2002

if you don't what you're talking about then why do you bother to make comments? you do realize that weights come in different shapes and sizes outside of what you see at your local gym? we used these rubber weights in my high school for doing cleans because you can throw them down without destroying your floor. i assure you that even though they are rubber and look bigger, they still weigh 45 pounds each

  • Very impressive! Heavy cleans scare me.

  • 0:23 i always wanted to do that, but the weights are metal at my school and im sure people down the halls would be like WTF!

  • yeeeeeYEEAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

  • AWESOME

  • yay!!! beast

  • I can raise about 20lbs

  • Goodshit

  • the idea of complex training like this is new to me. when you do this, how many reps and sets are we talking about. just like 5-10 sets of 1 (with power cleans, hang cleans, etc, being one rep)??

  • press out of the split-jerk could lead to injury, he should have dropped the weight. After the weight is above him he should more the front foot first not the back foot first. Go lighter and work on form.

  • Absolutely amazing! Way to go buddy.

  • damn you're fucking strong for being able to stick that lift out even with your arms not locked

    nice job

  • Damn, good balance.

  • good energy in that gym. needs more qualified weightlifting coaches, but strong and powerful athletes. how old is the lifter?

  • This was a true clean and jerk....however he did an illegal pressout. His squat clean was between a full squat clean and a power clean. He did not need to press it out as you can see he came out of the split as he was pressing out the last couple of inches. But a fine lift, nevertheless.

  • haha awsome.. your like ivan drago in rocky IV ^^

  • very nice!

  • decent form good job!

  • not really a clean and jerk but a clean with a press

    still good either way

  • Decent form , but that was no true "jerk", if you want to get technical about it

  • "pretty ok form"

    whatta clown

  • there was no front squat

  • you don't have to do a front squat. That's only if you do a full clean which is optimal for olympic lifting not so much on the football side. thats a decent workout nothin special for high school though

  • actually ignore everything i said, i just figured it out. in the description it says "J- power clean, hang clean, front squat, split press " he did the power clean, he did the hang clean and then did a "split press". there was no additional front squat.

  • Wouldnt call that a split jerk(maybe with an extreme after-press), something like a split pushpress.

Get some OL shoes btw. Pretty ok form though.

  • he weighs about 200 lbs even

  • Great man, how much do you weight?

  • Amazing form, J your NASTY
