  • Sounds absolutely stunning! Cannot beat the sound of a Blighty V8! Dumb question, what's the beeper when you've got the ignition on?

  • @mikeMBW hey there, it was something that the army had hooked up with their electrical system, bassically it comes on when you turn the key ignition on or if you stall the motor, so i would say that was the main idea behind it, to let you kn ow when you stall. cheers!!!

  • Man, i Love V8's !

  • Sweet as a nut..... :-)

  • sounds like a supercharger

  • This engine started out life as a Buick 215 in V8 in the early 60's, and then GM sold it to Rover as it didnt want the engine for further use.

  • if you want a comfy-quiet landy range rover cannot be beaten and i will not sell you mine

  • im looking for a land rover, but i wanted one that is OK on the road aswell as off road, as in, not a back breaking ride, and not to noisy at high speeds. do you know one like that?

  • @MrRavewolf hey, i would be looking for a land rover defender, they are better ridding and just as capable as a series river but coil sprung and available in diesel and petrol, short or long wheel base, you should be able to find one to suit your needs.

  • a glorious manly sound from the V8 dear boy forget the muffler.

  • hi mate can i ask you some.? i was last week at cyprus and i had a jeep safary and we drove in a land rover wolf or something v12 K&N airfilter it was amezing but there where only 3 maked can ui help me i want found a mocie about it but i cant find it:S

  • @joasv i'm not to sure on this model sorry, i think the wolf name has something to do with the british army model??

  • @garynz345 yes it was the army model ther ewhere only 3 of it. and this was a a land rover with a cabin but there others like a pick up model.

  • sounds like a tank phat

  • Now we are talking.......Dogs nads nice one mate

  • sounds like a engine out of a trooper tank

  • Quality!! I have a 3.9 efi Rangie and no silencers at the mo for off roading. About to put a Stateside cherry bomb on to take the sharpness out. Awesome!!

  • sounds sick man

  • best of british..........spot on chaps!!

  • great truck

  • it sounds awesome

  • that sounds well fit for an old timer lol looks good as well

  • It's nice to see someone rev an engine slowly, and not rev the pants off it. Sounds hefty.

  • hey mate, cheers, one thing with the rovers if you look after them they look after you!!

  • o yes

  • bud how much is it to do this and what do u need

  • oh man!!!!!!!!!!

  • It doesnt look as tho you have a back box??

Im sure that Rover has a cherry centre box and thats all,, Thats what im doing but keeping standard centre box, cherrybomb way to loud in the cab!

  • Sounds great,,

You just removed the back box and kept the centre box yeah?? Then added a new pipe from centre box to side exit??

I wanna do this to mine this week!!!

  • hey jake see the video response above^^^ that rover has cheery bomb muffler, and damn does it sound nice!! thats what you want to do!!

  • sounds delicious man! lol

  • miss my dads old v8 he had dual stainless steel straight through 4" exhaust..

got rid of for a 300tdi

  • Cherry bomb at above link :)

  • hi, yes it's good.

good idea to work the exhaust to let it breathe(respirer)very pretty noise my guy.

  • salut,

bonne idée de travailler l'échappement pour le laisser respirer,très joli bruit mon gars!

vive le v8 et les 4x4!

  • hey, thanks mate!! ((this is ok translation??) Good day, good idea to work the exhaust to leave it pretty respirer,très noise my guy! Lively the v8 and the 4x4! )

  • I think i just nutted in my shorts(LOL).

What did you do to make it sound like that?

    Take out the middle box?

  • yeah removed the middle (biggest silencer) then replaced with a straight pipe. apparently they can sound even better with the likes of a Coby or a Cherry Bomb muffler setup.

  • my 1956 series 1 (with '76 v8) used to scare the boy racers, but now it has a twin box transit diesel exhaust it sounds crap, like you say- break out the hacksaw- remove a box.

  • My Brothers series 3 with a 2.0 Turbo lifted from a Tickford used to scare 3 and 5 series drivers :D

we were guessin around 220hp at the wheels as the halfshafts snapped on more than one occasion :D

Would pop a wheelie when pulling away from a junction

  • Ahhh, how is Marko these days? :)

  • LOL Whos this ?

  • sweet sound!

  • my dads has 2 chrome twin straight pipes.. u can hear talking inside.

  • A hacksaw is far cheaper than a halfords chrome backbox and sound much better, nice one

  • Yeah, that's the way it should sound!

    Lovely!!

  • Sounds awesome with the straight pipe!!

  • SWEET!!!!

    :)
