Its the unbalanced version of Iori that is impossible to stop. His combo's are all blinks and if you're not blocking the moment he attacks, it WILL hit you. Shouldn't have even been added.

@BradRy2 Flame Iori doesn't necessarily "need" the meter as much as Claw Iori to be threatening, but it definitely does him a lot of good. I don't think Iori has ever been particularly bad and he tends to be a pretty beginner friendly RTSD battery. I'm unsure if the same can be said about Claw Iori yet because I'll never touch XII and I won't get my hands on XIII until tomorrow.

@SolBuster No. I was referring to his combos. His basic super easy combos are way damaging. I mean who needs hyper drive mode if a combo with only 1 drive stock and 2 DM gauge can deal 50% of opponent's life? The damage scaling for combos 11 and up are good. But who needs those. Combo 10 is everything you need for Iori. I hope I'm wrong about him. I'll wait for the console then...

You don't have to go by tier listing but the tier listings in fighting games do play a considerable role in who is better then what character. But in some games like Garou and Super Turbo the tier listing is so tight that any character has a good shot to win against the other

Iori without flames is basically Freeman from Garou MOTW. Now they're going to mix his old flames back with his more emphasized claw style from here on out. I also bet from now on, flameless Iori wil be an EX character. I would say it would be interesting to have a flameless Kyo but seeing as we have Shingo, that would be redundant. They should have had Chizuru fight without her mirrors. There was more to her than just illusions.
