Bolt could probably run a sub 8.6s anchor but Powell can't get close to Bolt's 3rd leg. In Zurich this year when the Americans tried to break the NR and got close with 37.45, Gay also ran the third leg instead of anchor even though he was clearly the fastest on the team for the exact same reason, he's BY FAR there fastest curve runner. Same with Osaka 07'.
