i think issayas is trying to provide a "fair" rights to all the peoples of eritrea in his opinion..i think issayas does not allow much "freedom" b/c he is afraid it might turn out to be like the times of haile selassie, where basic christian values were taught..and others were purdy much restricted..well in opinion i think its wrong what is going now, but if he leaves it as it is, then expect a revolution, i wont say whether its a good one or bad..jus my thoughts

yes in deed it had sudanes on the list it actually had 17,000 Europeans (mainly Italian); 10,000 Arabs and 6000 Sudanese, so if we assume the 10,000 arabs were all muslims then total none Eritrean muslims where 16,000 and total European christians where 17,000. so the christians had an extra 1000 added to them.

Don't expect Checks and Balances; or for Eritrea to behave like its African peers where Zenawi and Mugabe crush skulls and ribs but never fail to drag the accused to court for posterity sake. Eritrea does not play that game. At least Eritrea handles suspects with dignity. Show me a proof of an Eritrean suspected being beaten and tortured while being dragged to jail, except for the jokes about "torture inside jail."
