yes in deed it had sudanes on the list it actually had 17,000 Europeans (mainly Italian); 10,000 Arabs and 6000 Sudanese, so if we assume the 10,000 arabs were all muslims then total none Eritrean muslims where 16,000 and total European christians where 17,000. so the christians had an extra 1000 added to them.

Eritrea has 9 ethnic groups.
The only ethnic groups in eritrea that are 100% are the Saho 5% population in Eritrea, Afar 5% in Eritrea, Beja 2.5% in Eritrea, Nara 1.5%, and Rashaida 0.5%. Add those up and u will get 14.5% of Eritrea's population Islamic followers.
