  • When I met the guy, he towered over me, and I'm 6 foot so anytime you have a tall person, longer arms etc. means throws harder

  • @STG44tiger explain nolan ryan, billy wagner, craig kimbrel then. size is not a big factor

  • even in slowmotion it seems fast lol

  • Perfect mechanics.

  • just amazing

  • Amazing his mechanics are rock solid. Every pitcher should follow his example.

  • welll as of last night in the 8th inning, 101mph

  • how can i not subscribe to u?

  • That does not look like a 100 MPH windup at all. He doesn't seem to use his whole body like some pitchers do, it's like just his arm is made out of metal or something.

  • @LanceDirk

True, look at Neftali Feliz, he looks like he's tossing 100 mph fastballs

  • its sick how he throws 100mph and his external rotation isnt atleast 90 degrees

  • @metsfinest15 Careful analysis officially concluded that he is at least 1/4 Clydesdale horse, so that might explain it.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh my god, he doesn't even get inside 90 degrees with his elbow angle. And he throws 100.

  • That right there is the defintion of a horse—and why he can pitch 100+ MPH after 110 pitches.

  • go a's

  • with verlander you'll notice that long stance hes a tall guy 6'5

  • if anyone could give me some feedback on my own pitching thatd be cool

  • @Whitecapsace2597

You don't seem to be creating movement very effectively. Unfortunately, how to move effectively is not one of the ideas taught by people who teach mechanics (And that's probably because people who teach mechanics really don't understand movement in the first place).

  • The most impressive pitcher I have ever seen in person the last pitch he threw was clocked at 100

  • This type of thing is great for pitchers trying to improve their skills as well as the rest of us who just like to watch a master perform his magic. Verlander is indeed a super athlete and a great guy. Thanks!

  • The most underrated mechanics in the game right now. Viewed as simply a power pitcher, his timing, posture, leg drive and upper body work as well as anyone, therefore MAKING him a power pitcher.

  • Would anyone know what kind of ball that is ? (curve, knuckle, fast, changeup) ???????

  • @Ns205 fastball

  • @Ns205 I think it's just a fastball. There's no weird arm angle, grip, or wrist movement.

  • Wow you always manage to get the greatest footage of the best pitchers! You don't get paid enough for the great videos you make. Five stars

  • @mulholland34 agreed

  • Watching him pitch live is amazing, top 5 in the Bigs right now, sick heat, nasty curve, ridiculous change

  • wow, these mechanics are alot like mine.... minus about 20mph... lol

  • @maneatingrabbit63 double same hahah

  • @maneatingrabbit63

What your body looks like as you pitch isn't a very good measurement of how fast you are going to pitch. What matters is your overall strength and conditioning and how effectively you are producing the movement. Major league players produce movement in a very effective manner, and consequently they look pretty similar when hitting/pitching. Mind is movement, body is the manifestation of that movement. In other words, the body is a side effect of movement.

  • This is how 100 mph is pitched ...

  • @Angelah2528 it's how 100 mph is pitched if you're 6'5'', 225 lb and insanely strong in the lower half..
