I've never heard this song before or seen the pics of his mama. Not too many guys love their moms like he did. Wonder what it would have been like if his twin had lived. Can anyone imagine TWO Elvis's? Cuz apparently they were identical. So sad. Sadder still that they are ALL gone. Thanks for posting this song. Beautiful.

Very strange that this classic was left off the original Girls Girls Girls soundtrack.

There were two songs on that album which were *not* in the film! Elvis' vocal of this song was also not in the film but the *song* was.

Am I wrong but the long version (presented here) was not issued until the FTD release?

Lovely pictures of Elvis and his mama who he loved so much. How sad that he lost her so young. Things may have turned out differently for Elvis if she had lived. In nearly every picture he is touching her, you can really see the close connection they had together.

This is why I am a fan of Elvis, so many different types of songs in his armoury. The 'timbre' in his voice is what separates him from other singers, very warm, tender, soulful.with low notes in the baritone range.
