I have my guitar plugged in on a separate line. It is an acoustic electric with a piezo pick-up in the bridge. But, there is a little bleed going on, so there is some acoustic guitar on the vocal track.

That is interesting that you are left handed. I am center-toed :) <----- I have no idea what that might mean.

Yeah, when you sing the part "and in the end we shall" you are singing the chromatic run up from the G# to the B. Listen to the song and you'll hear that he does not sing it that way, chromatic. Dont get me wrong, I think you sound great. Im not trying to be a dick. Just my personal observation.

I really really dislike this arrangement of a track which meant such a great deal to me in my teenage years (so long ago).

Not everything I am playing is a chord.I am doing double stops and playing riffs,like that chromatic bass riff,which I just interpreted and represented on my acoustic guitar.Everything else is pretty standard.I think you could figure it out.But if you do have any specific questions about any specific portion I might be able to help you out.I play mostly by ear,so I do not have this written down somewhere.I just do it. Which means it would take me a long time to figure out how to explain it.
