  • I am in Australia and it's summer here and in summer it gets to 40c, 104 degrees Fahrenheit or more, I might roast if i took this camping in summer, I MEAN REALY ROAST :p

But for winter this would be perfect :)

    Cheers.

  • @paulpm1974 Yiks thats to hot to do anything exept have a beer and sit in the shade. This would make a great shade just move up and use as a tarp. Do you surf, I have allways wanted to surf Aus. Thanks for watching.

  • I have to admit this shelter is GOOD, it aint ultralight, but I would say it's lighter than the crap that is being sold as ultralight which is much heavier.

I might even make one or at least try :)

    Cheers.

  • @paulpm1974 Let me know how it works. You may find it is a bit warmer becuse of the radiant heat bouncing back from your body heat. Thanks friend.

  • Big T is in the house, or light weight shelter that is. Nice vid man. I like...Dash

  • @mrriprock2 Wat up Mr Dash..... hows things in you neck of the woods? Thanks for watching

  • Love your system Big T. Really cool. I have a concern about those little aluminum blankets because I had to sleep in one a few years ago when my Jeep broke down in the middle of nowhere. The thing was so noisy I just couldn't get a second of sleep. I was wrapped in it but I imagine it would still be loud if it were stretched out to a tarp. What's your experience with wind? Is it noise?

  • @enjoythewildUSA Ya your right it can be noisy if you don't use light bungy and bring it tought. I made one with heat sheet and it had less noise but the coating rubs off easy so Im thinking that stuf is not good for ya so went back to S.P. Thanks for watching

  • Mine would cost like UMMM 400 bucks, I WIN :p

    Cheers.

  • Big T thats really using your head . really great ideas . Thanks for the video

  • @buzzbait4343 Thank you Sir

  • @buzzbait4343 Thanks bro

  • 1.79 pounds Ultralight ????

    I don't think so.

Zpacks tent with everything 474 grams, 1.04499112 pounds, now that's ultralight, yours is just a little under heavy.

    Cheers.

  • @paulpm1974 Ya Ya Ya mine cost $9, Thanks for watching

  • @paulpm1974 I just check your info and your a lot off not to mention the $425 price tag... yiks. the tarp, bug netting does not factor in stakes, ridge line, or ground cloth. Sorry dude

  • Nice set up

  • @karenchakey Thanks I have your stove and will send soon.

  • @BigTVideos No problem you take your time and Thanks for the stove, that's really nice of you and I appriciate it. I like the idea of the space blanket shelter to keep the little kids warm while we are out for a hike, I think I will order another and tape them together. Again nice idea!

  • Great video with good ideas.

  • That is a sweet setup for sure.
