when it comes to football he basically is dead cause of all the injuries. he hasnt played well since he was about 23 or 24. i tend to forget how goood he actually was at one stage but he could have been a great player. but this compilation certainly shows the best parts of his career.

Fantastic player. If not for injuries (obviously not his fault) and his suspect attitude (obviously his fault) he could have been a legend and would have given England a different dimension. I'm a Newcastle fan, and in some ways wish he had of gone to a bigger club like Man Utd - Fergie would have made him that legend.

I think Toon fans dislike Dyer because of the way he acted with Sir Bobby. It was a while ago now like, but from what I remember he refused to play in a certain position and was disrespectful to him. It had a knock on effect and Bob started to lose the dressing room, which in turn sparked Newcastle's demise and eventual relegation. But he certainly had his moments didn't he. Early noughties were great Toon years, so many exciting games.

i wouldn't call him a "fraud", thats a bit strong. he's decent winger, just maybe not worth the 80 - 85k p/w he's currently earning at WestHam. but then, it not his job to judge his own worth really. that's up to his club to accept his wage demands or reject them, if they said: "son, you're not worth more than 20k p/w" then he'd have to accept that and the clubs would have more money to spend on TRUE worldclass players. blame management.
