I know someone really into this. He actually told me that (2) people we knew had cancer b/c of what *they* had done & b/c of how they thought. I had it when he told me that someone we knew was responsible this same way when their teenage son was killed in a tragic accident. I couldn't speak 'reality' about some work issues b/c it was considered 'negative' -- well, that didn't change the truth of what was happening: ignoring facts & post-it notes w/pos. thoughts didn't help business either!

The secret is bull. Its worse than bull, it blames the practitioner for all their short comings, bad experiences, and illnesses in life. Positive thinking is not going to get you out of cancer, rape, or anything else, just like religion wont either. There is a such thing as the placebo effect but that only works on your own body to a small extent not the people and world around you.

We cannot blame The Secret, like you cannot blame Guns or Atomic Power. The difference is on how people are using every concept. It's natural when something new comes up SOMEONE will try to profit of it and harm others. But the blame is not on the concept. At the end of the day we are all logical creatures and we should not BITE on everything with closed eyes. Investigate further before you accept anything !!!!! You should not look to the flesh about anything spiritual. But you are blessed when you pay attention to everything around you.
