The question remains: From where so many aliens on LV-426 after the big blow up? Also, lots of aliens were killed during the big sentry-guns sequence and during the evacuation. So, they better have a good explanation as to where those aliens came from, because there were only 157 colonists and I assume not all of them were impregnated.
The original movies and books were so frightening because the alien being(s) that kept on killing people didn't show for about half the story.
A faceless, terrifying killer. This is what makes you FEAR. The unexpected and the unknown. In all af the Alien games I've seen through years they didn't give crap for this fact, and that's why they went on being austere B category shooters, nothing else. All of them. It's sad that a great story like the Alien universe doesn't ever get a great game....
@atokombeled I don't know, the start of the Marine storyline in the latest Aliens Versus Predator had a lot of possibility and really created a tense nostalgic atmosphere....before turning into bog standard shooter.
In Aliens Vs. Predator 2, the xenomorphs don't show up for the first two (three?) levels of the game. You can't make an FPS shooter with them as the antagonists without having them visibly attack you.
"Shooter". They make shooters from everything nowadays.
Everything is black ops, special ops, ops command, commando ops, really-damn-special-super-black-ninja-deathray-ops, Hello Kitty ops and what not.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm perfectly and utterly fed up with mindless shooting and pixel carnage in every 2nd game. This is just my humble opinion though.
Let's hope this game won't be what it promises to be.

The xenomorphs stopped being a "faceless killer" from the sequel onwards (which was 25 years ago). Cameron kept the creatures in shadows and quick glances, but you could definitely see their faces and profiles, and Fincher and Jeunet did the same thing. This game looks to follow the same trend, but if the story and action are good enough, it will sell very well.
It's a good thing Gearbox are awesome and I trust those guys, because otherwise I wouldn't touch another Alien's game after Rebellions AvP 2010 which is by far the worst game I've bought this console generation. Looking forward to seeing moar of A:CM! <3
I love the chatter in this teaser trailer. It makes it very clear that the writer knows the Alien series very well. It's the tiny details, like referring to Bishop's legs being left behind and the fact that Ripley and Burke were both civilians.
But was'n't Hadley's Hope destroyed by the nuclear reactor explosion at the end of Alien 2?
Anyway, this one is some sort of sequel to the film and it will not be a crossover with the Predator saga that i also love! Can't wait to see what will come out.

Thats some cheesy voice acting.
Hope the games good though. But then again Gearbox raved about how DNF was such a great game. So who knows.
I used to have a ton of fun playing AVP 1 and 2 multiplayer, This could be great Co-op.
