in this case he might be able to restore. but if the car had any rear damage it would be done. back then cars were unibody not all in pieces like today. so if the front end isnt too twisted he can fix it with alot of work. sad too cause that car looks original

no you cant just weld a new piece on because there is no other piece to put on. this car being a unibody it has no replacement parts aside from the fenders and hood and such. sure you could get a master fabricator to craft a new rear end out of fiber glass but logistically speaking, youd be better off buying a new body and slapping it on the chassis. im sorry for your loss

@rockerbot5000 It's not a unibody it's a hybred it has a frame up front that's bolted to the back half which is unitized construction ! Other wise you can unbolt the K member and roll it out motor and suspension and all replace fenders & straighten frame & bumper and your good to go ! As my brother did the exact same damage to a yellow 1979 formula.
