WOW this is such an amazing experience where you truly understand what it means to wait on the Lord as He renews your strenght. ...If it is a biblical application of how we are to commune with God through Christ then it should not be vague in its description or reference. If the term "soaking" is simply a reference to other biblical attributes of prayer I can accept that but to say that "it is a deeper level of intimacy with GOD and our LORD JESUS..." as someone says below requires scripture to support it. Emotion does not support biblical truth but is an expression of it. Looking for a biblical not defensive response.

@josreb I believe we can say it is "deeper" than prayer as we have known it, because we are learning how to "be still and know that [He] is God. Instead of viewing prayer as a "work" or a discipline. It's often bordering to legalism... "Soaking" is not something new, it's just another word for the rest of faith and recieving grace and healing.

Soaking is one of the best ways to hear from God. The peace of God descends and His love will flood your being...it is truly wonderful! Hungry for God...want to know His will? SOAK!!!In this day, we need to habitate with Him. We need to hear Him more than ever!

Psalm 4:4 - "Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still."

Psalm 37:7 - "Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him."

Psalm 27:14 - "Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord!"

How in the world can anyone think that meditating on Jesus Christ is new age? Close your eyes, talk to Jesus, and wait? What in the world is evil about that? Give me a break!

If you don't believe you can close your eyes, talk to God, and then wait on Him, I question the amount of faith you have that God is the Great I AM and able to save your soul! How can you expect God to raise you from the dead, if you can't trust him to answer your prayers when you think, focus and pray to Him?

it's about His Fatherheart;

don't mind the name, the thing is, YHWH is your Father, you're an accepted son/daughter, and there are times you just need to sit on His lap. well, that's my interpretation of this phenomenon. at the same time He is your King of Kings

i don't like how all these things that the Bible is full of are being turned into a hype...

we lost our quiet to this busy world, and now we learn to get it back. very important!

Amen...the Lord Himself would separate from the crowd and get into the presence of His Father. He truly wants to minister to us in His love & His presence.

Cleansing...washing...purging.­..purifying...refining...to be less of our sinful nature and more like JESUS

i remember my first experience, during a soaking conference. within five minutes i was completely amazed about YHWH's thoghts about me. i just realized: His eyes are fixed on us, and there is no shadow of turning in Him!

after seeing guys like Benny Hinn and others, you'd almost throw out the whole 'spiritual experience' thing from your life.

the difference i see, is that 'soaking' is done in harmony and order. it's biblical. Heidi Baker is always a good example to me.
