I bought this game years ago, but now I have started to play it. Just beated Jentra... He is damn hard if you don't think what you are doing, and don't ever use your sub tanks for a little healing or your game is over. Jentra does some serious damage, I was so mad when I tried to kill him, but now, it's all over. Phew..

I find that it is better to use Spider in this fight with a King of Clubs weapon and always have him at 75%+ WE, so he can make Jentra land fast. Then, having X and Zero equipped with Gain WE +10 smack him away with X and Zero's Hyper. Also, Zero Dragon Slash command in the Command Arts is Anti-air, meaning he hits flying enemies with 100% accuracy.

This is the first boss that I actually died on, and after fighting for at least twenty minutes. 0_0 My second battle went much smoother, though. I can't remember what I changed about my strategy, but I know I finished him off more quickly than the previous battle (which ended in failure) took, and I had more SubTank left by the end as well.

The Preon Soldiers will only heal when THEIR LE is below 50%, so the best way to deal with them is to avoid attacking them.

Also, the Action Trigger in X Fire is actually non-elemental.

I think the best way to use Zero's Action Trigger is to have Jentra knocked down to the ground and let him have it. Of course, I once rented the game and didn't reach that far, but I believe it's the best way to do it.

It's a decent game, the only things i don't like about it is the riddiculously high random encounter rate. and it's too short because there is only 10 chapters

If you can get two of the shielding preons (can't think of the name at the moment) at Jentra's side, you shouldn't need to worry him being healed, and having your fire defense limited (as shown when X was hit with the oil). I actually had something like what I said happen to me when I did a second play and reached this boss. Not sure how it happened, but it was interesting.

Yeah this guy is tricky because of that fact he summon random preons once they're killed. There's alot of luck involved in this fight too.
