The prob is u have too many devices hooked up to the internet so try this play when no-one is on the computers and disconnect from the Internet on the computers when u r done;)
Nothing to do with your xbox, just seems like a modem problem. Theres a limit on to how much "internet" goes thru your modem to the number of people. Also your modem could be "refreshing/resetting". I would consider spending some money on a good modem for the long run.

to stop these problems u need to get a new modem or routor if u are on a wireless connection i will walk u threw inbox me ill give u my number nd ill guide u threw but wat u do is type 192.168.1.1 nd go to administration and go to factory defaults press yes or reset setting then once thats done go to security go to fire wall make sure Filter Multicast and Filter Internet NAT Redirection is checked off then try to go on x box live if u get on nd it kicks u off call ur local provider

@naries9 If you go to seeting and go to family settings there is a timmer for kids if you want them to habe a time limit it only alows them to play for the amount of time the parent has set... 30 min... 1 hour... etc check if you have a timer set.... hope all works out!!!
This happends to me all the time! I have actually found a way to remedy the situation, I have cancelled my xbox live account! I can't play zombies anyways so why bother to pay them money for this headache? I called xbox 5 times over this and my internet provider, none of them helped me. I've posted a comment here before explaining how to solve it. People keep sending me PMs asking how to do this. So here it goes again: It has to do with the intrusion detection settings of the router. You need to de-activate them. Don't ask me how to do this, every router is different and every internet provider pre-configures the routers it sends out in a different way.
So, ask your internet provider, or someone who knows what they're doing to walk you through this

@MrFunny434 That sounds like your lease timer on your router. It is set to a certain amount of seconds and all you need to do it adjust it under your router settings!

Same problem here. When i played MW2 and COD4 i never disconnected, but when i started playing Black Ops i started disconnecting and now i disconnect on every game i play.
I know what the problem is. I keep getting it more often than not when I play homefront. The problem is with the intrusion detection settings of your router. I am not a techie but I'll try to explain it. The way xbox live distributes and handles information is similar to what an malicious attack on your network would look like. The router things someone is trying to hack you and drops the connection. If you de-activate those settings there are no more disconnections. I've tried it and it works
@Shapoopo0h Not sure about the specific router. But it should be the same across the board. I went into my router settings, then into the firewall settings and there I deactivated the following options:
1. SPI and Anti-DoS firewall protection
2. RIP defect
3. Discard Ping To WAN Interface
Unless there is some other setting I forget, this should solve your problem. It did mine and I had the exact problem as yours. I actually posted a response video to yours. Check your messages

I am 100% sure that's the solution to your problem. I had disconnects on and off since I bought my xbox. Since I changed the settings I've not been disconnected yet. if so you need a splitter/filter or better yet dump ADSL altogether, its poor man's internet. lol

any electronics hardware shop shoud carry ADSL filters. you put one at the spot where it comes into the house and one on each device you use which will filter interference etc.

This happened to me the xbox an all the computers in the house you just have to replace the router with a new 1 we got 1 that was a lil more expensive but it all works perfect. And it might be because you have to much stuff connected to that 1 router? Idk

Hey i have found the answer to your problem follow these steps!
1) Right click on your network in the bottom corner
2) Click open network and sharing center
3) Then click on ' Change adapter settings '
4) Click on the network you are using
5) Then a bar should drop from near the top... click ' change settings of this connection'
6) Click ' Internet protocol 4 ' Then click ok.
7) Then turn the router off and on and restart your computer and wait an hour maybe to see results!

@MrFunny434 That sounds like your lease timer on your router. It is set to a certain amount of seconds and all you need to do it adjust it under your router settings!

exact same problem with me, i had wireless powerline adaptors but they broke. So i bought newer "better and faster" ones. however live just DC's on me. i dunno if its the powerline adaptors or what but its really irritating. my PC connection is fine. Just my LIVE.

I know what the problem is. I keep getting it more often than not when I play homefront. The problem is with the intrusion detection settings of your router. I am not a techie but I'll try to explain it. The way xbox live distributes and handles information is similar to what an malicious attack on your network would look like. The router things someone is trying to hack you and drops the connection. If you de-activate those settings there are no more disconnections. I've tried it and it works

@Shapoopo0h Not sure about the specific router. But it should be the same across the board. I went into my router settings, then into the firewall settings and there I deactivated the following options:
1. SPI and Anti-DoS firewall protection
2. RIP defect
3. Discard Ping To WAN Interface
Unless there is some other setting I forget, this should solve your problem. It did mine and I had the exact problem as yours. I actually posted a response video to yours. Check your messages

@IcyOnPurpose2 I'm sorry mate but I am not very technical my self. I just understand that it is the intrusion detection settings. Ask your provider on how you can disable them. I am 100% sure that's the solution to your problem. I had disconnects on and off since I bought my xbox. Since I changed the settings I've not been disconnected yet. Sorry I can't give more detailed info

best way to solve this problem is buy a good router. if you dont want to do that then port forward some ports.if you dont know how to do this then call xbox and they will help you. if this doesnt work buy a brand new router best way to fix this problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When the PSN is working :) get disconnected once in a blue moon.
Xbox go hours on end no disconnects then play other games and disconnect randomly.
Playing Virtual Tennis 4 atm and today it's disconnecting every 2 mins Yet last night 8hrs and no disconnect/ Internet still works fine so it's not the router or modem. Connected wirelessly. hell even the PS3 worked briefly when the PSN was up for updating the system purposes

if so you need a splitter/filter or better yet dump ADSL altogether, its poor man's internet. lol

any electronics hardware shop shoud carry ADSL filters. you put one at the spot where it comes into the house and one on each device you use which will filter interference etc.
