I was an Armour smith on Ahazi. I only became a Master in it just before the CU came in so I can't remember too much about pre-CU. After the NGE came out I quit as did nearly everyone from my guild. I miss it more than I can convey with words. Ever since I have been searching for another game to replace it: WOW, FFXI, COH and Guild Wars and none can even come close to filling the hole that SWG has left me with. It was the best game ever but all I have left is nostalgia.
I really badly want to get this game, but i hear its become soo run down... apparently there are no people on it at all anymore? is this true. If it is i reckon they should cancel the subscription and jst let it out for free or maybe bring it out for xbox 360 as an xbox live game, wouldnt be a bad idea!
Check out the free trial. The game is totally different than it was when it started out. Some people like the changes, but most of the veterans didn't, including me. I'm partially glad the NGE killed SWG because it allowed me to spend more time with my studies for college :)

I gave away about $150Mil in credits to friends and still have plenty if I ever do decide to come back. I've heard rumors of a crafting revamp. I think that by that time I'll be interested in other things. And no, my shop is still there and I have a nice display with some sith and regular holos. It's at 275, -5959 on Coronet, Chilastra server if you want to check it out.

Chapter 5? Chapter 5 did nothing but add an RE system. Weaponsmith is still very dead. No combatant in there right mind would touch a crafted weapon with a 20Ft pole, regardless of RE or not.
I figured I would resub and at least consolidate my resources before the housing purge in Chapter 6. There are a couple weapons that WS can craft, like the Scythe Blade, which I think loot for hasn't dropped in a while, keeping the price high. Aside from that I don't see much to keep me playing. The others require ToOW, which I will probably never purchase.
True, but I can get the scythe by doing the quest for the Xris sword, only thing that makes it cool is the different skin. I want to recommend to come back man, but this game really has no place for crafters anymore. Let us pray that SOE develops common sense or that the Emu becomes successful.

I will most likely hop back into SWG for 1 moth after Chapter 5 to rearrange my stuff once the resource stacks get changed to 1,000,000 instead of the stupid 100,000 they had before.
