It is a sad fact my friend. It's located in Yabucoo Mexico. I saw on the ellen show a couple of weeks ago where a guy was vacationing there and saw all these dogs.He rescued 17 of them. Those were the only living ones there that day. He didn't realize that the name dead dog beach was litterally dead dog beach. From what I've researched the people also throw thier animals off bridges when they no longer want them. Sickening. Thanks.

All 7 cats I've owned throughout my life have been strays though 2 were unwanted by their owners because they'd become burdens. Doesn't count the 30+ I've looked after - they were all so scared of people they refused to become pets.  Out of the 8 dogs my family's owned, 2 were burdens on their previous owners & 3 were rescue dogs from shelters.

I Think its terrible and horrific the methods in which they use for these culls i know there is no easy way or nice way to cull but poison and beating to death is disgusting if the owners did not neglect them to begin with there wouldn't be such a big problem.

It's a scholarly academic book that attempts to explain, in forensic behavioral terms, why people abuse/neglect/abandon animals like these dogs. My managing editor recently sent me a message saying that while behavioral science can explain a lot about human behavior, there is something else - a force that we know nothing of - that causes this. There is a definite link between animal abuse and domestic violence (spouse and child abuse). But for every abused child who grew up to abuse animals as an adult, there are thousands more who never engage in any type of violence. Like you, I don't accept "the abuse excuse" as a defense to cruelty. It's an explanation, but not a defense.
