  • me gusta este tema ...buenazo

  • love this song!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song, in the studio form, reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart 7/2/83.

  • great song and great performance, thanks for sharing!

  • nice...

  • it´s a jewel. thanks!!!

  • this song is currently dedicated to my beloved KULET miss JEASALONA because i love her very much... i love you KULET!!!

  • @holywoodist - thank you ''KULET''

  • @holywoodist - mahal din kita kulet ^_^ alam mu yan hehe :)) iloveyou :DD

  • PRECIOSA CANCION

  • Remember when men could play instruments and actually sing instead of just saying c*nt and ho a few dozen times while a drum machine goes in the background? I'll never get tired of the 80s, back when bands were bands. Long live Styx, Journey, ELO, VH, Foreigner, Heart ... oh yeah, remember when women could sing too, and without autotune? :-P

  • @janiscortese

Yo mehn...are U's say'n U dont like dat Rap Crap?

  • This song was recorded when music mattered.... bands were real musicians. Now it's so much hype and ridiculous rap/hip hop nonsense that gets tiresome upon the second listening. Styx was an amazing band. Dennis deYoung's solo album, Desert Moon, is one of the best recordings ever.

  • this is a good song until you've been there. 21 years of marriage down the tubes and I can't get this song out of my head and stop crying.

  • Diz iz da band dat started my LOVE of Rokk n Roll!!!!!

Hav um tattooed on me Rokk n Roll sleeve!!!!

    Styx r AMAZ'N!!!!!

  • COCAINE + STYX :)

  • DDY = one of the great vocalists of all time

  • A classic!

  • Styx was one of the greatest bands from the early 70's to the early 90's. It sucks that music like this has taken a back seat to these teeny bopper songs on the radio nowadays. If Styx was to release this song today, they wouldn't stand a chance.

  • Ok Mr. DeYoung,

Here's the deal. Rejoin for the Charlotte NC gig and I'll come and see you guys.

    Styx Without Dennis is Stick.

    Be great wouldn't it?!

    Don't let it end.

  • i remember this song when i was 16 that was fantastic

  • i disagree ive seen styxx 5 diff tours in late 70s early 80s dennis is the weak link tommy is the star and dy had the right direction

  • Styx with out Dennis should change their name to Stynx.

  • MR. DE YOUNG IF YOURE READING THIS, PLS REUNITE WITH STYX!! WE THE FANS MAY NOT UNDERSTAND THE BAD BLOOD THAT YOU HAD WITH REST OF THE BAND, BUT FOR LOYAL FANS , IT WILL BE A HISTORICAL COME BACK AND PEOPLE WILL LOVE YOU FOR THAT...A CALL FROM THE FANS

  • "Kilroy Was Here" should've been a full-length theatrical feature film. It's one of my favorite rock operas.

  • Dennis DeYoung had a great voice.

  • I had a copy of Styx' Greatest Hits a few years ago, and this song was a fitting closing song for that album. It was the 16th of 16 songs. There's no other song like it. However, a hand goes up for the 7th track on the album, "Show Me The Way."

  • Styx is Pannozos, DDY,TS and JY, every one .

  • @panchokoman Don't forget John Curulewski from 1968-1975. DDY, JC, JY, and the Panozzo brothers are the original.

  • Yea my eyes aren't watering up or anything...its just allergies...yup that's it...

  • thumbs up if you were born in the late 80's, like me, and you wish you wish you grew up in the 60's-80's. The majority of todays music is garbage!

  • @weirdguy75 the nigger shit

  • Styx was the poorman version of Queen-lol! Even Chuck Pannozo tried to have the Freddie Mercury look. You don't believe me they were what I say? Check out the song Babe, Lady, and many others.

  • @OtorresFitness You just don't have good taste! Queen had their slow song too!

  • @OtorresFitness That is just a ridiculous thing to say.

  • AOR classic

  • STYX fan forever. I love Tommy Shaw but STYX is not Styx without Dennis DeYoung. I wish they didn't ended it this way....

  • One of the greatest vocalists.

  • Thanks for the classic STYX !!! Don't Let it End !!!

  • This song speaks what my heart is feeling. I will forever love you my sweet Catarina

  • this song brings back some memories....... i think i was in junior high when this came out..... i am sooo old....

  • Tommy Shaw kicks ass.....

  • No Es tamål Donna! no Manches...es Barry Manilow?

  • i hate growing up is the era i did im 18 and styx has been my fav. band since i was 5 i wish i could of seen then live

  • great voice and song.. I was only 3 yrs old that time..

  • THIS SONG KICKS SO MUCH FUCKIN ASS!!!!!!!

U BETTER DON'T TALK SHIT ABOUT IT U HATEFUL FUCKS!!!

    ...STIX ROCKS!

  • wow, this is amazing, I'm fifteen and I hope so much for Styx to become "in" again

  • his voice is almost the same as the voice of vocalist of air supply.

  • @jc1241 please don't say or think that!

  • this video is soooo artsy!! i love it? downloaded the full album in downloadmusic.im for free

  • This song really applies to how I was feeling back in high school in 1983. Wish I would have dedicted it to you way back when!

  • GREAT, VERY GREAT!!!!!!! I REMEMBER DURING MY HIGHSCHOOL. I ALWAYS LISTENED TO THIS MUSIC. HOW I WISH I HAD A COMPONENT DURING THAT TIME . SO JUST LISTEN TO A TRANSISTOR RADIO THAT DAY. BUT IT WOULD NEVER FADE TO MY EARS..[ MEL IBOG]

  • yeah we can say mr de young have the magical voice. but let's not forget about tommy shaw..

  • @tjrtherocksponge

However, one peculiar example is the Rolling Stones. This is debatable as each incarnation seemed to have varying degrees of success. Brian Jones, who would die one month after quitting the band, was one of the founding members (along with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, and Ian Stewart - with Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts joining by the start of 1963).

Mick Taylor replaced Jones from 1969-74, and Ronnie Wood had replaced Taylor since 1976.

  • i hope those people accidentally pressed the dislike button

  • Ya no nacen grupos asi, sois los mejores!!

  • I saw them in 1980 and I thought they were lip-syncing they sounded so good .. if it wasn't for talking between songs and some extended solos you would have thought they were playing a tape ... truly one of the best live acts

  • OH GODDDD! eargasm

  • fav Styx song along with Boat on the RIver and the First TIme

  • Dennis is the man.

  • styx is dennis .. the brain and voice of this wonderful rockband..

  • which member of styx has the high voice?

  • @MultamBibit tommy shaw

  • @patrkcirtap Actually it's Dennis

  • @phil15550 No it's Tommy Shaw. Listen to the harmonies. DeYoung, is the fuller voice, the thin high voice is Tommy Shaw.

  • @MultamBibit DENNIS DE YOUNG

  • I saw Styx in Charleston, WV in 1977 for the Grand Illusion Tour. I absolutely love them! The group is not the same without Dennis but they still sound good to me.

  • Excellent, nothing more to say.

  • Great song by a legendary band! I don't care what anybody says but Tommy Shaw can flat out wail on the guitar!

  • is perfec song

  • I was a teenager when this song came out. I ran out & bought the 45. I miss record stores.

  • @MsTiredofit I'm 16 now and regularly go to antique stores and garage sales and thrift stores to find records :) FUCKING AMAZING SOUND QUALITY

  • Been playing this song on CD Boy, I Love STYX and I sing like him

  • あぁ、青春時代の記憶がよみがえる。。。(涙)

  • Wow, the memories ...omg

  • Love this video...

  • Bellissima!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love this song. It brings back memories from many many...many years ago!

  • this song reminds me of my grades school days.

    after a long 06 years,we been seperates,i wish "don't let it end".

  • Styx just isn't Styx without Dennis DeYoung's magical voice!

  • @stoopidmonkeyful I couldn't agree more... I've loved this band since the 1970's but saw them live for the first time in 2009. And they were phenomenal of course but without Dennis' singing, the impact of their songs he would have normally sung just didn't quite have the same effect. Siomply tragic because they truly are epic.

  • @stoopidmonkeyful SO TRUE!!!!

  • @stoopidmonkeyful Nope!! Without Dennis is like trying to do Priest without Halford, Journey without Perry, Maiden without Dickerson.... Its not real!!

  • @MMAFAN66

    Also...

    Supertramp without Roger Hodgson

Genesis without Phil Collins (and Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett)

Kansas without Kerry Livgren and Robbie Steinhardt

  • @ClassicTVMan1981X Actually, Kansas was at their worst without Steve Walsh.

  • @stoopidmonkeyful What? You don't like Tommy?

  • Great song from the true voice of Styx Mr. Dennis DeYoung. Dennis you are truly the man.

  • Styx 4EVA!!

  • Epic performance of an epic song. The live version on Caught In the Act trumped the studio version on Kilroy. My favorite Dennis DeYoung song on Kilroy which the band did actually perform live (the others were Cold War and Don't Let it End Reprise whilst Mr. Roboto, Heavy Metal Poisoning and Haven't We Been Here Before were sung live but the instrumental backing tracks were used). I know people tend to pinpoint to Roboto on KWH but this song was also a Top 10 hit.

  • @floydgenesisnut Ranked 6th in 1983 in the chart "Pop Singles"

  • What a song, and waht a performance!

    5 stars for IT!

    I luv Stixx1

  • Sorry for typo: what a performance!

  • What a voice!! who ever measures up Except maybe Elvis!

  • thanks for posting this song and video!!!man....it really touches my heart!!oh boy...whooaahh!!!couldn't this kind of music no more these days!!i mean....classics really are great, don't they??

  • Air supply has the same melodic notes..unlike STYX..this band can produce sound in a different way..

Listen to MR. ROBOTO..BOAT ON A RIVER..

  • dennis sounds better here than in the studio version. it's not very often that happens. dennis deyoung is one-of-a-kind!!

  • @mmichael154 .... totally agree with you... very rare to see a live vocal performance this flawless!

  • styx as a group complemented one another i`ve listened to tommys solo albums and dennis de young, as welll as james young all of which are good, but not a touch on styx as a group

  • Dennis is so incredible! If he and I where both single and he asked me out, I'd say yes in a heartbeat! He is still one very attractive man!

  • Air supply is diferent STYX is kinda rock in essence. though melodios

  • I love this song. thanks for texting me tonight Pam u cheer me up as usual. Please DONT LET IT END. xxx reo speedwagon can't fight this feeling

  • Wow! He is so amazing and incredible every time. He was Styx! He doesn't need em!

  • dennis de young is awesome!

  • luv dis song!!!

  • This is a beautiful song, an almost unknown masterpiece of the 80`s.

  • AN INCREDIBLE VOICE !!

  • You cant compare both styles.

If one of them is beter for you is only because of you.

  • bro airsuplply suck

  • I so agree. Dennis is in such a higher class that they could ever be!

  • What the hell do you know!

  • Dennis DeYoung is without a doubt. one of the most overlooked song writers and singers around!!

  • I love this song! I was singing it earlier today. Dennis sings songs in chords that are easy for my voice|! Go Dennis!!!

  • que voz

  • great i sung this song in the videoke lately...its a beautiful song.

  • Styx was to operatic with KilRoy.

They were not cold and Electronic enough with

it,Say like Gary Numan or KraftWork.......

But the D.L.I.E. single will always shine....

Crystal Ball was more their forte, plus Dennis Deyoung always reminded me of Barry Manillow..

  • Barry Manilow! what an insult to Dennis!

  • I do not blame you for neglecting

Kilroy Was Here.I was somewhat disappointed also not sounding like it looked and traded

my cassette to a friend in school for Lick It Up by Kiss..........

  • thx for posting this!

  • This is a wonderful song, someone told me afew weeks ago to listen to it, though I'd listened to it so many times before, the meaning became so real!! Now if he'd just tell me how much more we could really have!!!

    Love you Babe!

  • STYX,great band,great songs,great dennis and tommy...no wonder...all-time favorite hits!...those who're attempting to remake...FORGET IT...PLEASE HAVE SELF-RESPECT...THANKS...

  • My heart just opens and bleeds when I hear this song and I'm lonely. It hurts so bad sometimes to be alone and this song is everything that makes the pain easier...

  • thanks

  • Yeah it was the flip side of Mr.Roboto on 45.

What was those yellow pieces you place in the center of it to play on the record player ????

    I forgot,now i know i am old.

  • Are you referring to the adaptor to play the 45s made in the usa?

  • Yes thats it ,but what were they called ???

It has totally slipped my mind.

  • did those plastic things ever have an official name? Many older "High-Fidelity" record players had a 45 adapter that came with them as an accessory, then when you lost it, in came those cheap little plastic things.

  • All time favorite.

  • One of the greatest vocals ever

  • Dennis u so beautiful!!!!!

  • Cooooññññooooo el tipo estaba de un bien que no les cuento..................

  • Back in the 80s "music" was really all about the sound.

  • I love this song! What a voice! Dennis DeYoung is the best! I was in high school when Styx took over the air waves. Those were memorable days. The bands nowadays can't hold a song next to them. SANDY!

  • I miss Dennis!!!

    WHAAAAAAAAAA!

  • What can I do, Pictures of you still make me cry Trying to live without your love It's so hard to do Some nights I wake up I look at your pillow Hoping that I'll see you there But I get up each day Not much to say I've nowhere to go Loneliness fills me up inside 'Cause I'm missing you
  • HOW MANY?

  • Dennis thank u for this song...........

  • Thankx For Posting ''Awesome-Song''

  • Great song, and sounds better live! Thanks for posting!

  • love Dennis de Young!!! The BEST!!!love all his songs...

  • Sheer perfection that Dennis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dennis was always my favorite. I love his voice!

  • i simply love styx!!!! i was a toddler during that time of their concert!! hahahaha

  • Dennis is THE voice

  • It just isn't the same w/o Dennis De Young. I miss him!

  • This is real STYX! Dennis, John, Chuck, JY and Tommy. Take one out and it is not the same (the first five records were great and Edge of the Century had its moments) but without Dennis DeYoung, the band s*cks!

  • The real classic Styx lineup was Dennis, JY, Chuck, John and Tommy. Curulewski was on the first five albums. The first four had its moments but Equinox (Curulewski's last and first for A&M) was the first Styx album IMHO!

  • @obcpwaves

I think they could just have been like the Swedish band ABBA, and keep turning down offers to reunite.

  • oh helll...this has always been such a tearjerker!
