  • These two... Best duo in recording artistry, in ALL of music history. Not even Johnny and June Carter can touch these two. Amazing.

  • love Tammy and George....just best of classics.

  • WOW!!!

  • Don't this want to make you go back in time.......there will never be any other duet partners like these two!

  • @dsloder A truer statement has never been made

  • @dsloder I don't know, Ol' Conway and Loretta were hard to beat.

  • Tammy sure had aged a lot here, she looks older than GEORGE .. Love them both!!!

  • I haven't even seen MARRIED people look at each other with as much LOVE as these two do after their divorce!! You can literally FEEL the love between them. It makes me want to burst into tears!

  • at 1:01 when the camera points toward the pictures you can hear him telling her "you look lovely" and she says "thank you, you do too" man you gotta love this video

  • @countryboy0936 Thanks for sharing. :)

  • What a LOVE story !!!!

  • greatest duo ever always will be

  • called there playing our song. =)

  • What a great professionnal couple!

  • play,in our song, is the name

  • What is the name of the third song Tammy Wynette and George Jones performed in there medley here? I know the first song is Golden Ring, the second is One and the third I cannot figure out.

  • @erfan2008 called there playing our song. =)

  • @erfan2008 "They're Playing Our Song"

  • i,v would of loved to see them togeather,at a show

  • these 2, absolutely wonderful!!!

  • Excelente.

  • thouse two ,unforgettable

  • @ wildfire6460 in her autobiography she states she still loved him when she divored him she just couldn't take his drinking anymore

  • I believe George and Tammy still had feelings for each other. People don't go through what they did and not. They realized they didn't belong together. Cher and Sonny were the same. And, HOW IT THE HE** CAN SOMEONE HIT THE DISLIKE BUTTON??????? Sure, the video quality wasn't the best and the songs were too short but, these two were, and still are the yardstick for real COUNTRY.

  • not many divorced couples can speak afterward much less sing love songs to one another. shows the depth of character of both of them to put differences aside to do this. Miss tammy so much. I love her song beneath a painted sky.

  • How could ANYONE dislike this????

  • Their cd "One" is one of my Top 10's. They sounded great together right up to the very end. And to know this was their last album together makes it all the more special.

  • What a couple man There was a great lose when she died

  • two legends! They deserved a standing ovation

  • George demonstrates here why we all think so highly of him.......and its not just his amazing voice im talking about, he has always worn his heart in the open, always seemed a kind and truthful generous guy . Tell me if im wrong but he was getting emotional here.

  • Rip Tammy! we miss you! Im proud to say Tammy is my cousin && one of the BEST singers of all time!

  • Oh, tears at about 1:14

  • GEORGE JONES IS THE BEST COUNTRY MUSIC SINGER EVER

  • Wow...the President and First Lady of Country Music! I know Tammy was very ill here but wow, they still sounded great together. They were not just one of the best duos in country music history, they were THE best. PERIOD. RIP Tammy and God bless George :) Thanks for video......

  • CM lost one it's biggest talents when Tammy died.

  • WOW Love this! RIP Tammy! :(

  • Ok now !

  • Impresionante...los mejores...saludos desde Asturias..Viva el Country

  • beautifull

  • I love George Jones and I loved George and Tammy performing together!!!!!!!!!!!

  • CMA isnt the same anymore its just a bunch of people who don't know a damn thing about country

  • George never got over Tammy he loved her so and it was the same for Tammy. The King and Queen of country they always looked so happy when they sang RIPTammy we love you George.

  • @celtic304

    That's probably true.

But love isn't always enough, unfortunately.

  • The greatest country duet ever!! Could you imgine how many hits they would have had if they had stayed together?

  • damn,it brings tears to my eyes

  • God bless you Tammy

    Thanks for the memories

  • What a great duet. Shame we don't see him as much anymore. They had beautiful voices, especially together.

  • @pittresident thats not nice at all dude

  • Classic country, and the likes we will never see again. God bless them both, I hope Tammy is at peace.

  • Wow Tammy was such a beautiful woman til the end. I don't understand why no one didn't speak out about her health. Back in 1993 she was doing fine and wow 1995 through 1998 were not good years for her. That good for nothing, goldigging, fat bastard George Richey probably was the reason she passed on so early. Tammy was such a pretty woman. She had such a natural beauty, her beautiful smile, her nice sweet voice, wow what lucky men were her ex husbands. I am 18 and I would have loved to met her

  • nice song. Whenever you get the chance please come check my channel and hear some of the conway twitty songs i sang.

    keep up the good work

  • I don't know what was wrong with Tammy during this show. I read that Tammy had some serious health problems in her later years. I know this.. There has never been a more beautiful woman in country music. She was so very beautiful.. Tammy was our gift from God..!!

  • NSCurry0039 rizano85's Grandfather would have to be Billy Sherill if he started Tammy Wynette out and jones.

  • Yea she was sick she was suffering pheomonia at the time, that is why she sounds weak and high pitched, I love Tammy RIP.

  • Pittresident: I think you need to stop judging people. You do NOT know rizano85 nor his grandfather. Before you criticize, maybe you should be more interested in learning more.

  • Was Tammy sick at this time, poor thing looked worn out...RIP Tammy.

  • Um, you think? Perhaps you should do some research on her.

  • /sarcasm

Nooo, not at all. She was as healthy as they come. She's never been ill, no major surgeries or anything like that.

How about you go do some research on Tammy Wynette before you go posting something as dumb as "was Tammy sick at this time".

  • Pittresident: stop being a smartass. I actually agree with sportsaddict1942. Tammy didn't sound like herself in this particular video. You weren't there - how do you know she wasn't sick? Again, criticism should be withheld until all the facts are known and available.

  • No,Pittresident,if you follow the videos right here on You Tube, you'll learn differently.

  • You don't have to be so rude! And besides that,my Mom has probabally been dead longer than you have been alive!

  • heh

  • Thanks for the posting. There ain't nothing on radio now that'll get ya fired up like this! Think i'll just have a cold one and enjoy!!!

  • my grandfather got tammy wynette started in country music. and my grandfather went on tour with george no show jones back in the fifties and and sixties.

i love this kind of music and im only 24.

  • i love tammy voice at 121 122 i love her face expressions.

  • She must of been worried about how she sounded. Did you hear George say "You Sound Better" to her in the middle of the song?

  • that's so sweet, thanks for pointing out.

  • Your Welcome. Mr. and Mrs. Country Music!

  • No, Gearge says " you were beautiful" to her when they show the pictures on the big screens.

  • no he says "you look beautiful" not "you were beautiful"

  • @charliebradley1979 yes he does say you look beautiful i think he loved her for ever ,i love the 2 of them it will be a sad day when he goes but goerge will be home with tammy R.I.P. tammy we love you ...

  • Home with Tammy? He is married to Nancy.

  • i no that but it is tammy he still loves i think ok but you can think what you like ....

  • I think Loretta and Jones should record a duet Cd now..That would be awesome since Tammy and Conway are no longer with us........

  • Actually Louis Loretta talked about something similar the night Tammy passed. Apparently Conway had told Loretta several years ago that he would never record with another duet partner besides her. Well the night Tammy passed, Loretta says She had a dream about Tammy and Conway singing together and in the dream she got mad at him for singing with another duet partner when he told her that he never would. She woke up to the sad news that Tammy had passed away :(

  • Tammy has really aged.....

  • Tammy's dress is beautiful.

  • Gosh how I love their music and miss them both. This was when Country Music was great and Americana! Get 'em Tammy & George! We will always love you & your good ole country music!! God Bless!

  • They are Legends and always will be We love you Tammy and George!!!

  • tammy and george had the world by the balls

  • 2 of the greats of all time. Loretta & Conway and Tammy & George are the two best duet partners of all time.

We miss you Tammy and Conway, they left us much to soon.

God Bless and R.I.P Tammy and Conway and all the great country legends that are no longer with us.

  • I second that! Great comment!

  • Thank You.

  • Does anyone know what George says when Tammy was singing DO YOU WANT TO HEAR A LOVE SONG?

  • god, she looks so ill. her inner beauty shines through. her doctor should be shot.

  • I second that:)

  • I third THAT!!!

    She was beyond fabulous!

  • they`re playing our song :)

  • Whats The name of the 3rd SOng

  • only comment OMFG fantastic

  • Never be any better than this.Timeless country!

  • nothing like this and that is all i can say.

  • totally at 'one' ...unlikely there will ever be the likes again! .......you just wanted them to go on forever! ...great post .... thank you!

  • Jones Jones Jones + Wynette wow....this is country.

  • AMEN TO THAT

  • Oh my Goodness! I didn't recognize her, Id been watching some older video's and noticing how she seemed to have to put very little effort in her songs, and then THIS. WOW, I didn't know for sure it was her, and then I saw she was struggling so much. God rest her sweet soul. They were a great duet, along with Conway & Loretta, Just wonderful!

  • Flamingredrose9, I had the same feelings as you described, while I watched that but cried my eyes out when I read you post!!!! Wasn't it so tragic?!!!!

  • Yes...It's VERY sad.

It reminds me of Adam & Eve after they were kicked out of the Garden.

Back then it took satan over 900 years to kill off Adam (Yes, that's how long he lived on the Earth) but today he's got so many diff things, it only took 50 or so to off the lovely Tammy Wynette...

    Big Daddy

  • It's was so sweet to see How kind and gentle George Jones was to Tammy Wynette when he knew how ill she was. God Bless Him for that. Smile

  • Yeah It must have been sad for him to c Tammy so fragile. He was lovely deep down and I think they truly loved each other.

  • He worried about her health through most of the tour in 1995. She was hospitalized I think three times during the tour and had to miss a few dates of the tour including an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in the latter part of the summer 1995.

I think that losing Tammy was a large part of the reason he started drinking again and got in that terrible car crash in early 1999.

  • I have to agree. Although he tried to conceal it, he never fully got over Tammy in my opinion and was devastated at her loss. Tammy is also my favorite country singer (besides Patsy Cline) - and is possibly my all-time favorite singer as well.

  • What's the name of the second song they sing, the song after 'Golden Ring' and before 'They're Singing Our Song' I'd really love to know

  • the title is "one". don't know if you ever found it. think it was one of their relatively newer songs but i cant remember. i think it was part of their reunion effort. i may be wrong there

  • It's just called....ONE

  • Tammy passed away 11 years ago yesteray. RIP

  • if someone asks the definition of true country just play this video of the president and first lady of country music!! this is classic

  • good to see they mended their differences in the end,and still the king and queen of country music.

  • I disagree. Tammy always sounded amazing on stage and on studio recordings. I suppose she may have needed a bit of help towards the end of her career and life because she was so sick, but considering what she must have been going through I still think she sounds amazing!

In fact I actually prefer Tammy's singing later in her career, in the late 1980's and early 1990's (when she wasn't sick).

Tammy will always be the greatest country singer to me!

  • Tammy always sounded SO GREAT even when she was visibly ill as in this and other clips I've seen. I liked her high note era from about 1968-79 but her voice did become more soulful after that

As for "When she wasn't sick" there weren't many times that she wasn't sick from October 1970 until her death in 1998 but you never knew it from a singing standpoint until about 1995 onward just how sick she was.

  • That's what I meant. She had some great songs on her later albums as well and I think that is part of why I like them so much. It is a shame that they are virtually impossible to get now as some of it is her best work in my opinion. I love "Heart Over Mind", "The Note" and "Thank The Cowboy For The Ride" and all of "One" album with George - that's why I love this video so much!

Tammy is my all-time favourite Country singer! (In fact my favourite singer altogether I think)

  • i know 4 artists ,a group that sounds as great live as on record.

    lind nilsen fuentes holm.

  • I think Tammy is still doing good after being sick and all. She could still hit the notes once she got wound up. May you rest in peace our FIRST LADY

  • Tammy Wynette was the greatest there ever was and ever will be!!

  • reba > tammy ...she didn't even stand by her man...

  • hey dont dis Tammy. She did stand by her man, but you can only help someone that wants to be helped. Dont get me wrong, George is the KING of country music. but still leave her alone

  • i wasn't 'bothering' her i just stated my comment. singing country music i'd take reba over tammy. and yea he was bad off and she did attempt but in the end...no matter how bad it was..the fact was she did not stand by her man

  • tlcarroll, I love Reba, but she's not in the same class as Tammy.

  • tammy was sick in her last years and it weakened her voice.

tammy didn't need a recording studio to showcase her voice..

god gave her a powerhouse of an angels voice.

  • yeah thats why n interviews she'd always say "I may not be the best but I'm the loudest!"

  • What was the songs sung? Rest in peace Tammy. We always love you.

  • lolzer.. Tammy only got a clap or two when she came out and George got like a standing ovation.. that's funny right there, i don't care who you are.. that's funny.

  • Man, I loved this. It might be 2009 but Tammy and George are still the best of all time. George is great but not like he was when they sang together.

  • Tammy looks alot older here for some reason. Had she been sick? She was still beautiful though and such a wonderful voice. They are truly the best!

  • without doubt george was there to the end tammys great love

  • beautiful pure country with super voices the true king and queen of country music--- tammy was a wonderful singer and a lovley lady xx

  • I cannot believe the audience didn't start clapping as soon as Tammy came out and started to sing,..

  • george > tammy

  • Just found this!!! Thanks for putting it up. I got the pleasure of seeing them together and it was an awesome show....I just wish they would have one at least one award together! Zero, Zip, Nada, NOT ONE - that really sucks!

  • It was said that even years after their divorce they remained friends, espically in the recording studio where i heard it was like they were married again, cussin and name calling and and all. If you see George throws Tammy a wrong word on purpose, you can tell by the way she looks at him, either way he is the best, she was great.

  • onmvuiehve;wm uhevg;jng;lb; eoiwgjnkbvh;oe;oj

  • i wond what year was this....??

  • 1995

  • Does anyone know what happened to the video of George and Tammy called One? One is a great song and Video

  • It was said that even years after their divorce they remained friends, espically in the recording studio where i heard it was like they were married again, cussin and name calling and and all. If you see George throws Tammy a wrong word on purpose, you can tell by the way she looks at him, either way he is the best, she was great.

  • what is the third song they sing called?

  • i believe its called "they're playin' our song",but I'M not 100% sure on that.

  • the best country singers tammy - so pretty and sassy miss ya tammy you live on in your songs your voice was unmastakable

  • this is my favourite of all time thank you they are so amazing together ...going to spend rest of night listening ..found it thanks to Gerry ..

  • This is country music!

  • amazingly, Tammy had over 26 major operations for various reasons (including the throat)during her lifetime and managed to continue her career and love of music...what an amazing woman.

  • It sounds like Tammy is staying (singing) strong even while fighting her illness here. There will never be any other singers to take her and George's place. They are wonderful. Was the audience standing up for them just before the video ended - George and Tammy deserved it for sure. I like the words in this song - especially when it's said some other singers are doing their songs and trying to sound like them. They wish huh? Thanks a million for this video. - Paula

  • holy shit! WOW!

  • jones voice is ridiculous comin in on this song

  • We miss ya bunches Tammy...

  • Oh yes they loved and still love each other,Beautiful!

  • Tammy can't quit looking at George. How sweet, the two should of stayed together let's face it. Sorry Nancy, but Tammy was his true love. They fit like a glove. Thanks for all the beautiful music. R.I.P Tammy

  • does anyone know if there is a video of john berry in the 95 cma's?

  • the backup singers totally screwed up on golden rings. . .

  • Actually, they stayed with the script. Geo and Tammy improvised.

  • she is hot

  • this video on here is so special. it's so sad. i am filled with sadness when i think about tammys life story. she was so talented. there is not one song i don't like which she has sung. her voice is just amazing. i will never forget putting on the t.v. and hearing the news about her death. it's not fair she had to suffer so much in her life. she made me so happy with her music and also so sad.

  • wow...this is nice. So much presence on that stage. Those vpices just tug at your heartstrings. Very nice...

  • maybe she did but ive never heard anything about it

  • they couldnt make it work because he drank too much

  • pretty sure she drank a lot, too.

  • reply to MisterChimpy...I laughed when I read your comment. But the fact is Tammy did not drink too much, but it was funny. George was the hard drinker. But he is the best Country legend out there. Faults and all!!!

  • Oh yeah, I love them both. :)

  • Tammy wouldn't even be classified as a "social drinker"

  • of course they couldn't make marriage work, they're two of the most intense, passionate people that ever lived...just not meant to be with the other. they were better off settling for less. it's obvious, in the magic they created as a duo...love em

  • they couldn't make there marriage work but they sure do sing well together. brings back a lot of memories!!! love them.

  • natural country,great.

  • Breaks yer heart. Tammy had such a unique voice. Sad it failed her in the end. Seen her many times in the early 80's and it was quite sad. Kind of ironic that George drank enough for an army yet his voice never failed him. Their early duets...priceless!

  • yer it is sad! yet alot of female country artists lost their voice as they got older! but george is stil goin today its unbeleivible hes one of the only good original ones left

  • Looking back at some old photo's Tammy was such a pretty young lady in her day. A natural beauty, sure we have some beautiful ladies today...but gosh almost anyone can be pretty especially if you have money. Cosmetic Surgery, teeth whitening, hair extensions, faux tans, I think it is easier today than ever. George and Tammy were perfect together, probably the most loved country couple ever!

  • You are right about her beauty and back then I did not see very much make up either. In her old clips. But she was a special lady.

  • this my friends is country at its best

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that goes from 1:57 - 3:09? I love that one!

  • ONE

  • It's not ONE but may be from that album. I wish I knew the name of it also.

  • It's called:

    "They're Playing Our Song"

    From the "One" - Album(1995)

  • the first song is called Golden ring I think that it is crazy because i am so young and i know most of the old classic country songs

  • me 2...it just means our parents had good taste in music

  • its called "they're playing our song" on the g-jones/tammy album called ONE

  • watching this vedio they seem to be in love.

  • Oh George!!!

  • again awsommeeeeeeee

  • I have seen many shows and am old enough to know about their DIVORCE. They have always loved each other they should of always been together but sadly it ended. They were a wonderful couple!

  • stumbled on this great clip. Remember it well handed Jones that mic on the show that night SL. He made several comments about no matter how many times he does this he still get nervous

  • George and Tammy....Real Country...

  • george is the king of music in my book
