  • I'm sure Ed Roland wishes he was in The Cars. Great band. Good acoustic cover from Ed. Ed borrowed from the Cars song "Magic" when he sings first verse of CS song "Hollywood". He did this with Bowie's song "Suffragette City" also when he sang first verse. That song also has sax & horns in it on the chorus too. Inspiration sometimes comes from your I pod I guess.

  • Xpack you fanny! Course he's famous! He's Ed fuckin Roland of Collective Soul , one of the best vocalists in rock. There's more chance of me showing Joe Satriani how to play guitar than you ever sounding like him. Go crawl back under a rock!

  • I was never a real fan of this song until I heard Ed do it...

  • Awesome cover. Ed's my favorite lead singer of all time

  • Beautiful! Very SOUL-ful :)

  • Is he famous or something? Not that great. I could do that easily. Maybe I will!

  • @xpack1 you're kiddin' right?

  • this is good i might go see him tonight in milwaukee

  • Excelent, simple but correct cover

  • The Cars version is much better. Benjamin Orr sings the song the best. Ed never has been a good vocalist. He has an uncle that is the best singer in the family. His Dad's Brother. Ed's forte is in the music. The hooks.

  • Are you talking about Billy Roland?

  • I think Ben Orr sang it better than anyone ever could. This guy is pretty good, but I miss Ben's voice.

  • as close to perfect as u can get. he shud be in the fuckin new cars instead of that kaseem asshole who cant even sing

  • FYI I love him but he's only 5'7" so it's hard for him to stand up. He's a BIG BIG BIG presence in person. Got to love his style and voice.

  • Actually, he is between 5'10" and 5'10 1/2". My husband is 5'9 1/2" and Ed is almost an inch taller than him when they stand next to each other.

  • @dmcslow Ed Roland called himself a 5-9 guy in a recent radio interview. I have the link to it. My guess is he is 5'10 even morning height and 5'9 even at night like me.

  • @MrDeppness Ed has his height listed as 5' 11" on his Myspace page, but I don't think he is quite that tall. He is probably closer to 5' 10 1/2".

  • @dmcslow Ed himself said he was 5-9 in a recent radio interview. I saw it with my own two eyes.

  • Friggin GREAT!!! Ed is the best!

  • I had to go look up the original version (before my time) and it's a good song, but I like this one best. And I am not trying to be objective at all...ED's the man!!

  • i really like this version... great singer. check out my version also and lemme know what you think :)

  • awesome

  • I saw Collective Soul a few times - he was great with them, too.

  • whoauuu this guy is great

  • Awesome cover song ... Ed is such a great singer. *sigh*

  • Yes. MmmmmSigh :)
