I'm getting a 07 zx-6r as my first bike...I'm 15 and a half. Yeah you guys may say I'm stupid for getting such a big bike but if I'm gona spend that much I'm not gona get no 250r or 650r. I WANs hear it scream when I get more experience and just to show off and rev.
@JonTheChron im a responsable rider. i never do anything out of my reach. no wheelies. nothing. im a new rider but i can handle my bike. and i didnt get a 07 zx-6r i got a 2012 CBR600rr
@sandplasma well theyve taken the seat off of this bike. the entire rear of the bike was down to the frame so the aesthetics were way off because of that. with the seat and plastic back on the yoshimura is the best looking after market exhaust.
@TheRenegade217 I ride an 06, and do a lot of riding of 150-300 mile trips in a day sometimes (for fun, and riding from school to home) and find it comfortable. However, I've ridden a 2007 also (this body style) and the 07 is more comfortable. However, if comfort is one of your major concerns, you don't belong on a sport bike.
haha second part isn't the same motorcycle , i can find the movie with the original one.. Fake !! ;) it's on youtube the video with original motorcycle ..
@skarpskyttar still you have to admit there's not a LOT of difference between the two, i mean kawasaki stock exhausts are pretty good as they come, yes yoshimura is a common choice as an upgrade, but you don't really need it... i'm just saying ;) still great video
One problem with starting out on a liter bike is that it can take longer to gain some good riding skills. On a 600 you quickly learn to shift gears as the road changes. On a big bike, you can put that thing 1st. gear and never really need to go past 3rd. I can ring the neck on a 600. kinda like driving a turbo, you down shift to kick up the rpms! Fun shit!
Sounds great! I just got a 2007 leftover ZX-6R from dealer w/3 miles on it. Haven't rode her yet since I'm overseas but I have a RS-5 exhaust, PCIII, K&N filter and few other goodies to throw on her when I get home!! Damn, can't wait!
well I would say different...I would have loved to start off with a Fuel Injected ZX6R instead of carb. EFI is smooth response, crisp acceleration and everything. This all goes back to just starting off slow and knowing your limits. a 600 Is fine to start off with. Hell you could Easily start off with a 1000 Like my friend did. The bikes only gonna go fast if you're cranking the throttle.
it wasn't hard at all. you don't have to shit it and get it immediately off the start. get used to the weight and the way it leans then start going back on the throttle. it's just a thing of patience
That bike looks much nicer than r6 or r1 and its a little bigger too more massive :) the headlights are awesome. great sound too. I wanna get a bike next season im confused what to get damnn. what do you guys think about Triumph daytona 675 ?
iiunno...looking at the monster bike now..i would probably take the monster..lol.Even tho i like the exhaust under the seat, im pretty sure there is some way u can fab up the exhaust to go under the seat
i just bought a 2000 zx6r for $2800 and its definitely the best bike i've ever experienced for that kind of money. i've only got it to 115 mph in 5th gear so i cant wait to really open it up
you seem to comment on alot of zx6 vids for someone who rides a faggot 250 that they cant even ride...maybe if you didint jack it 13 timesa day youd have enough motion in your wrist to operate a clutch, or figure out how to start your bike,or back up your bike withought a reverse gear..........
The ninja sounds great with the yoshi exhaust. I want to get riding soon. I am looking for a ninja zx6r but no luck finding one for a low price even if its an older model. Hope I find one soon. I been itching to ride one of these!
it almost sounds exactally the same...its just a look and maybe a little louder.... get something that will make it sound different. sounds like you still have stock hedders on.
go find a triumph 675, gixxer 750 etc, then, don't go fucking around if you don't have a true 599. In other words, look to compete in the class you are in, not the one beneath. The latest Triumphs seem to be pretty bad ass, with only a three in them I'll be looking forward to hearing how you do.
chhmcom: so are you saying that that the daytona is better than 636 and ZX6RR? are you also saying that the daytona 675 and gsxr750 are in the same class? in fact, what ARE you saying?
Don't like the 636, Kawi did this before back in the day, making a larger displacement bike, but I've always been fond of the Ninja brand & didn't think they needed to put themselves in the position of trying to race one bike (a 599) while selling another (636). It made them cash, and in the business world that is king; but zx's are generally superior to their rivals, so I felt pretty let down that the street version was bringing extra cc's. 07 AMA showed Kawi in the 599 class
NO, lol. Maybe I'm old skool; bikes used to be 600 (ie 599), 750 or 1000. throw any combo of gsxr 600, cbr600,r6, zx600 & it was a fun race. Take one of those & ride against a 750/l, if you could hang, you knew how to ride. 675 confuses that, so (to a lesser extent)does the zx636r. While discarding ability to race amongst other brands in class at the track due to higher displacement, these machines also cost rider credibility on the strip. ride 4 fun is great, but no rider cred in competition.
Sounds good! Go check mine out bro! I think I like the way yours sounds but i am not sure..

Very nice! I got an 08' ZX6 been riding it for a year. It's NOT a beginners bike but it is a good 1st. bike if you got a level head.
Take a riding class and get your license. Be careful of the company you group ride with. Mixed bunch tends to show out!
