and I could never see why they had such a downer on the One Hot Minute album to me it is a side of them that I love and its brilliantly complex, for instance the baby crying arranged like a guitar solo I mean when Dave Navrro did that he pissed on every innovative technique frusciante apparantly brought after. The only thing that lacks his style is his heavy metal guitar sound in some points.

Totally agree dude. Well, I think Californication was lame as well; they tried to duplicate the spontaneous, "live" feel, and analog sound of BSSM, and they failed miserably. The mix on Californication is horrible, sounds like they cranked the treble all the way up, and the bass down into the negatives.
