After having no luck finding a decently priced Mega Man 2 cartridge on eBay, I first played it with the NTSC version on emulator, to the point of completing it on that about 3 times.
After that, I felt I'd buy it on Virtual Console, but I simply can't play that version, now I'm used to the American version. Damn I hate PAL! - Why the hell don't Nintendo allow you to play it on the original speed and frame rate on VC? =/
i know its irritating but thats how the games used to be on the nes in the uk. some nes games in pal were fixed so they run full speed and others werent. i dont know why.
Yeah, it continued right up until the Dreamcast. Huge pain! =/
I read somewhere that Rare programmed all it's games in 50hz, so all regions would play the same. And on Ristar, they took advantage of the larger resolution of PAL, shame that was a rarity.

at 1:06 u can use flash man time freeze power and the platforms wont fall if u take your time on them
