What if you're inviting someone who's a friend of a friend? How do you invite them over the phone?

I like....... but 1 objection.....won't it be bad if i kept striking out with a person and kept calling him everytime and saying that "i m busy " ? ......if I were the other guy i would say "then call me when you are" !!!!
