  • she's class.x

  • she was my fave...when i was very little

  • Incredible performer, musician and that amazing beautiful voice here in her late 70's. Her voice never sounds old. Johnny Mathis still sounds fantastic performing all of his songs past seventy five! Perry Como kept performing until he was 80, and Tom Jones and Engelbert are still performing as well. Tony Bennett beats them all at 85, having just completed his second "Duets" album.

  • Her talent is simply timeless. Thank you so much for sharing.

  • Happy 79th birthday to a wonderfully talented performer! This video is 4 years ago and the voice radiates of youth and I guarantee it's the same way today! Where do talented people like this come from? The hey day was the mid 60's which is 45+ years ago but the indelible long lasting mark was left. The youth of today should be blessed to hear her hits like Downtown & I Know A Place to name a few on a regular basis!

  • Glorious & moving moment with the legendary Petula Clark at piano singing "Autumn Leaves" & don't think there is anything finer...Bravo Petula!

  • Thanks for posting this exciting video of Pet

  • still a great voice. never knew she plays the piano, and quite well too.

  • VERY VERY NICE

  • Precious. I want to kiss her voice.

  • Today´s performers tend to forget the public and sometimes it is pretty obvious they sing just to make their egos bigger. Well this is an example of a wonderfull rendition of a classic very well sung and played by solid artist... for us... She makes you feel as if you were seated there, near her and she was playing and singing just for you. Isn´t it great?...What a talent....Thanks for posting this gem

  • beautiful

  • god bless petula clark

  • french lyrics by jacques prévert, English lyrics by johnny mercer, Music by joseph kosma) The falling leaves drift by the window The autumn leaves of red and gold I see your lips, the summer kisses The sun-burned hands I used to hold Since you went away the days grow long And soon I'll hear old winter's song But I miss you most of all my darling When autumn leaves start to fall

  • Wow, she was born Nov. 1932, and this is Oct 2007, so she about a month shy of 75. What a stylish act for this age!

  • This is my favorite song by Andrea Bocelli ...another great version.

  • CHANSON INTERPRETEE A PARIS 1996

    George

  • That woman..and her voice..are simply eternal.

  • Oh shit up, who cares if she's aged, she's not 20 any more, what, did you expect here to look like she did when she was 20? what an asshole!

  • really, she is in her mid 70's but still has that touch when she sings her songs of today...............

  • 2007 OCTOBER

  • what year was this?

  • IT WAS 2007,

  • Dean Martin was smittin over her when she was on his show in the 60's...he fell for her hard...I think she said "no thank you"and went on her merry way.

  • I love to see her radiant smile.

  • ONE WORD.....BEAUTIFUL!

  • BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL.All my childhood feelings rush back.

  • So beautifull what a nice version!! Petula you'll never loose it.. a pleasure to hear her voice now and back in younger days.

Thank you too for remembering The Carpenters.

wish to see her in concert she excells.

  • Une Merveille , Merci ...Lea

  • I missed this on the telly so so thrilled to see it now - she is pure magic no doubt about and so talented in so many ways. This song suits her voice to a T

  • Still beautiful, and still in fine voice. Hope she continues to perform. I didn't even know she still did until I saw this.

  • I was extremely touched by the artistry and mastery of this great lady! And to think that she has been around for more than 60 years in quite incredible! Thank you so much!!!!

  • Dancer, playin' the piano, acting,is there no limit to this wonderful entertainer?I think not. Thanks for sharing this video with us.

  • writer, producer, radio presenter, speaker, comedienne, linguist, poet, musician...nice person... great mum...

    Hows that?

  • AND A WONDERFUL PERSON TOO DAVE.

  • Thank you, m1ckeyjoe for this 'Autumn Leaves'. Will there be more such as this to come?

  • Yes, I think she's happy & we're happy whenever she sings and dances. Fast or slow, I think she has moved on to other kinds of songs in terms of content, tho she's great to oblige fans with her 60s' hits when she performs. I like to hear more of her doing the songs that she likes to do today in her life like "Solitude's my Own" cos she has become so expressive in what she chooses to sing now. We have her recordings whenever we wish to go back to the 60s.

  • This is a real treasure. Thank you for this. I wish Pet would stick to this type of material these days. Her upbeat oldie hits are sounding shrill and a little too brassy for my taste She is a great entertainer who I have loved since the sixties..

  • Pet is exciting to watch in the 60s cos her songs were faster and more energetic. However, I sometimes enjoy her later years' performances as this even more. She has developed herself to become so much more expressive, soulful (even philosophical at times in a song) and intimately warm in her delivery and style. An amazing talent (with still so much to give of herself) and a joy to watch/listen to in any period of her prolific and extensive career.

    PetInspired

  • Many of Petula's songs today are fast and energetic. 'Driven by Emotion', 'Come Along with Me'..two new songs in her act, both fast, and she dances while singing them. But you're right, she's brilliant in 1957 or 2007. Two hours in concert with Petula pass like 10 minutes. She's a total joy.

    Guy

  • Lovely song, recorded first by her in French in 1964. Lovely to hear it sung in French again. The lyrics are so beautiful, as is our wonderful Pet. Soulful as always. Great! Thank you.

  • Thanks for the speedy upload...great addition to the You Tube Petula collection for the world to see Petula still has the magic in 2007

  • So beautiful • Many thanks

  • Thanks a million. A rare video clip of Petula singing and playing the piano. She sings soulfully as usual , and plays the piano beautifully too! A treat!
