the only thing that i liked in this game was that they included enishi and the jinchuu arc,and oh,the "ink effects" are not bad.

i rate this game 6/10. (RK enjou kyoto rinne for ps2 was better IMO)

got the iso copy of this game,and to be honest,i got disappointed.don't get me wrong,i'm a HUGE fan of the series and like all of you i was excited at first,but the game was disappointing,here are some of my observations:

first,i was expecting they will use the original BG music of the series(like in the PS2 kenshin game),instead they replaced it with crappy rock music,i also wished the game is in 3d(also like on ps2),instead its in 2d,it was like just playing shaman king spirit of shaman(ps1)

Please, play it before you compare it to heat the soul because that game is a piece of shit excuse for a fighting game. IMO, the bleach fighting game for DS is still a way more fun and technical fighting game than the HTS series.

@SELG88 I wouldn't count it out, actually. RK is one of the most loved series of all time, and fans have been begging for a reboot since Sony decided to nix Jinchuu and the OVAs tanked. Now they give us a game for the 15th Anniversary and fans are crying reboot once more. There's also a LA movie rumored to be in the works, and that animation looks a little to high quality for just a psp game. I mean, c'mon, the epilogue is even included. I smell something epic in the works. Just my hunch though.

Sano has his sword, he just wasn't using it. But if you if you look on the screen you'll see an arrow and "1P weapon"...so pretty much he can drop it and pick it up again whenever he likes like Vega can do with his claw in Street Fighter.

As far as to why it's on the PSP rather than the PS3, I have a hunch that there is more to come(let's face it, this game will probably bank!) but that's just me. Also, don't forget that the PSP never "died" the way it has here in America, it's a lot more popular back in Japan, so I don't really think it's a question of whether a PS3 vs PSP game will sell better/worse.

But yeah thats one of my theories, that they want a bigger budget to work with so they make this one first and bank on it so they can not ONLY make a good game on the bigger consoles, but also get the hype and good advertising in. Thats what they did with street fighter HD remix, they banked it and did SF 4

@TheGreatXavier (2/2) and let's look at why TYPE of game they chose to make. personally, I think RK looks MUCH better as a 2D rather than a 3D, and Sony puts a lot of time and money into their PS3's 3D gaming graphics, so I'm guessing it'd be more wasted potential to have made a 2D for their PS3, and a full-blown 3D game would have wasted the potential for the series itself.
