David Ellery is the most biased prick I have ever known, instead of going on about all the refs that favour United, look at this guy, against arsenal in the fa cup semi he disallows Keanes goal for an offiside that never actually was. Then against Liverpool he blatently gives a penalty for nothing and sends Irwin off for doing fuck all. He may have cost us those matches but the balding old fucker didnt stop us from winning the treble. Love this DVD, love this season. MUFC for life.

i specifically went to this part of season review to make a comment about the ref in the 2-2 at anfield in our treble winning season and i was aware also of the shocking decision against arsenal to disallow a goal for offside when giggs passed it to himself lol but seriously the game against liverpool, the refs made about 5massive decisions all in favour of liverpool and they were all wrong and blomquists tackle was brilliantly timed, every1 would agree but that's always the case at anfield.

Exactly. Blomqvist's tackle was excellent but Ellery knew he could get away with giving a penalty.

David Ellery + A Man Utd game + AnFAILed = Undeserved points for Liverpool.

Ellery should not have been allowed to referee United fixtures after the Arsenal and Liverpool games in this season (98/99).
