@0KevinRADshaw0 That's very insightful and sweet but honestly in this song, if you listen deeper than just the blank face of the lyrics, you'll see that this is about his relationship with his lover and how it appears to be unrequited. Your comment would do more justice on another one of their songs about how messed up the world is such as "simple math" and "virgin". I do however agree that this is ONE of their best songs, I especially like the "If you knew I was dying would it change you"Verse.

"turning skin into a dirty secret" could be plastic surgery, makeup, etc. I think "everybody has their reasons, that's the reason we're all gonna die" is a comment about looking out for only yourself, and not the greater good.
