@net200910 this game is crap dude. Have you even tried to mod the beta? Way overcomplicated, if you have any issues you have to search all of the internet to get it corrected. It took me about 3 hrs to have this up and running and nobody is on the servers. Good graphics mean jack when nobody is playing and the mod is hard to get working.

any one else having one hell of a hard time installing this damn thing? I cant find a decent how to video or website. After moving the req files to my profile and importing the files into crysis and replacing them it still wont launch. Any one have any suggestions?

If this is what a bunch of guys can do using nothing but free time then why can't any major game company make a mech game that looks even close as good as this using all of their money and full time man power.

In honesty Harmony Gold shouldn't be allowed to sue, mainly because the warhammer mech which is what problem was in many of the mechwarrior games, so I dont see why harmony gold should be allowed to sue,
It does to make one that runs it at a good resolution with anit- aliasing turned up. The best builds possible struggle to run crysis warhead at max settings with a reasonable framerate... A badly designed game engine if you ask me, you can't ignore the system requirements like they did
I never had a problem with the engine myself- ran like water on this rig, Dual core 3.4, single 8800GTX 768 with a SB X-Fi. Hope they finish this Mech game soon. I've been following it for over two years, I think...
We started work on this mod years ago, and was hoping for a winter release of 2008, but as you see its now summer 2009. We are willing to take as much time as needed to complete this game so every MW fan's fantasy is fulfilled!

love the idea of using the cry engine to create a total conversion mod using battletech. Heck, they get it right and it could be the best mechwarrior game ever. Downside? IT'S ON THE CRY ENGINE! There isn't a computer out there that can run it at max settings. I look forwards to playing this mod when I'm 50 years old and am able to actually run it.

Looks to be very mechwarrior derived, though there's some mechassault aspects such as the blood asp. With the mechs shown on their website, it seems to mostly follow mechwarrior.
We need more Mechs (from the entire mainstream series). That would be awesome. Hope the MechLab system comes in it (it's not MechWarrior without handy customization). And add more Clan story material! (We've already got a lot of IS material covered).
I like IS tech very much. Clan MECHS clan LRMs and Clan guns are the best but the lasers are pathetic. I mean they may weigh less but with the ammount of heat by the time you ad heat-sinks it is not worth it.
With clan SRMs if the other mech has LAMS mabey 2 get through and they have more heat, with ammo and Heat-sinks, once again not worth it. Clan MRMs are all right but I dont mess with them much any more.
If I'm not mistaken, according to the Battletech universe, the Timberwolf is the insane, drugged offspring of the Catapult--not the other way around. Catapult came first by a very long period of time.
Which is not to say I don't like the Mad Cat. It's my favorite mech by far.
True they share the similar shoulder-mounted missle launchers, and the Catapult model indeed precedes the Timberwolf by centuries-- that's why the latter is vastly superior-- but they're probably only distantly related, if at all, seeing that one is IS tech and the other is Clan icon.
This looks cool. Can't wait to see it finished. Lol@ the guys on the next page talking Catapult vs Uller vs Vulture... nerds :D (And I mean that in a good way.)
For anyone who is thinking on the Vulture/Mad Dog vs. Catapult I just had a battle between 3 clan lvl 2 Mad Dog primes (played by me) against 3 IS lvl 2 Catapults (CPLT-C1R) I used Clan tactics as well. My Mad Dogs only targeted one catapult and when that one was destroyed i would not fire at any others. The Mad Dogs won with all three surviving.
This looks so fucking awesome. I've been waiting for another pc Battletech game since MW4. but sadly I have a feeling that like all the other Battletech mods/games people have tried to make over the years this may end up as vaporware as well. too bad. I'd kill for another good Battletech game :(

so this is a new Mechwarrior game coming out? I hope so and stay away from that gay ass mechassault shit. Customization is the name of the game damn it! Nothing like taking a Annihilator, stripping it, amping up the engines, a few ppc's and slamming your target then ramming it. Or adding Gauss rifels to an uziel. I hate a mech game where you aren't a true pilot. just some cockpit junkie.
I hope you can actually set up your mech, not like MW4's drag and drop system. I hated that. Its like, you can't gain any real advantages by knowing how to setup a good mech. I want a real, MW3 or MW2 like system but with level 3 tech. And for goodness sakes put either the Black Lanner or the Storm Crow (or both!!) into the game! Looks good so far, keep it up!
I hope that they don't make this game where you fight in a tank, plane, or in the infantry... there wasn't very many mech shots, other than the stationary Catapult... the mech fights are what makes Mech games Mech games
The catapult has some advantages.. but personally I'd prefer a Mad Dog for the role. And Maxrev is right, the Kit Fox is a very potent mech, if set up correctly.

Great to see the MachWarrior name being kept alive, but this video is a little confusing to me. I saw plenty of tank and aerospace fighter action, but the Catapult just stood there and got blown up. I'll be more excited when I see actual 'Mech combat.
A company called SMith & Tinker has bought the rights to several franchises formerly owned by Microsoft and one of them is Mechwarrior. Smith & TInker is owned by Jordan Weisman, the very same man that created FASA so long ago which gave birth the Mechwarrior as we know it today. Hopefully this will lead to some exciting developements in the near future. Until then, lets see how this Crysis mod, Mechwarrior Living Legends, turns out.
It is still under testing so they don't have all the textures or mechanics worked out yet. they say that it will be released this winter. there will be alot of mechs in this game ( at least 26 Mechs, there will be tanks,and other ground support vehicles,jets,Elementals,and standard infantry)
They have several mechs on their website but not in the game yet, they look good. I bought crysis because of this mod too. found out multi player only. NO single player for living legends so far. :(

Its not that good.
Granted its a higher quality than Killing Floor, but its still not good enough to be a marketable product.
Plus, last I checked MS owned the rights to all FASA stuff, don't see them hiring people to make a product on a competitors engine.

All the same, the MC/TW is a clan icon (and one of the best Clan 'mechs out there, in my opinion). I look forward to driving it in LL.

For anyone who is thinking on the Vulture/Mad Dog vs. Catapult I just had a battle between 3 clan lvl 2 Mad Dog primes (played by me) against 3 IS lvl 2 Catapults (CPLT-C1R) I used Clan tactics as well. My Mad Dogs only targeted one catapult and when that one was destroyed i would not fire at any others. The Mad Dogs won with all three surviving.

This looks so fucking awesome. I've been waiting for another pc Battletech game since MW4. but sadly I have a feeling that like all the other Battletech mods/games people have tried to make over the years this may end up as vaporware as well. too bad. I'd kill for another good Battletech game :(

ok, this looks amazing, kudo's designers. judging by the vid i guess you can fight on all fronts, mech, tank, foot, and air? thats just going to rock. cant wait for this (btw when dude says "that was cool" when the aerospace fighter shot the mountain, i agree, it looked sweet lol

so this is a new Mechwarrior game coming out? I hope so and stay away from that gay ass mechassault shit. Customization is the name of the game damn it! Nothing like taking a Annihilator, stripping it, amping up the engines, a few ppc's and slamming your target then ramming it. Or adding Gauss rifels to an uziel. I hate a mech game where you aren't a true pilot. just some cockpit junkie.

I hope you can actually set up your mech, not like MW4's drag and drop system. I hated that. Its like, you can't gain any real advantages by knowing how to setup a good mech. I want a real, MW3 or MW2 like system but with level 3 tech. And for goodness sakes put either the Black Lanner or the Storm Crow (or both!!) into the game! Looks good so far, keep it up!

I hope that they don't make this game where you fight in a tank, plane, or in the infantry... there wasn't very many mech shots, other than the stationary Catapult... the mech fights are what makes Mech games Mech games

Catapult will absolutely rape an uller at a range greater than 100m.
And if we're going this way, the Vulutre is just as "weak" of a 'mech as the catapult is.

The catapult has some advantages.. but personally I'd prefer a Mad Dog for the role. And Maxrev is right, the Kit Fox is a very potent mech, if set up correctly.

its cool that mechwarrior is being ketp alive but it seems like its being ketp alive like someone thats had there legs and arms and eyes and tounge blown off and out. its alive but its not going anywere. know what i mean? onley thing bad about mechass was fact you couldint build your mechs the way weapons worked and stroy lay out was dumb but the fighting was cool you could hide but it was more in your face then mech4 merc is

by the time you guys come out with this armored core for answer well be out. i really geting sick of seeing catys and arojets and tanks weres the beef? battletech being the onley western mecha besides heavygear you think it whould come into next gen consoles or newer pc markit but noooo.

Great to see the MachWarrior name being kept alive, but this video is a little confusing to me. I saw plenty of tank and aerospace fighter action, but the Catapult just stood there and got blown up. I'll be more excited when I see actual 'Mech combat.

A company called SMith & Tinker has bought the rights to several franchises formerly owned by Microsoft and one of them is Mechwarrior. Smith & TInker is owned by Jordan Weisman, the very same man that created FASA so long ago which gave birth the Mechwarrior as we know it today. Hopefully this will lead to some exciting developements in the near future. Until then, lets see how this Crysis mod, Mechwarrior Living Legends, turns out.

It is still under testing so they don't have all the textures or mechanics worked out yet. they say that it will be released this winter. there will be alot of mechs in this game ( at least 26 Mechs, there will be tanks,and other ground support vehicles,jets,Elementals,and standard infantry)

They have several mechs on their website but not in the game yet, they look good. I bought crysis because of this mod too. found out multi player only. NO single player for living legends so far. :(
