Early in the Obama administration, a reporter for Fox News - since dismissed - tried to accuse the White House in general and David Axelrod in particular, of sending emails to people who had not requested them... (the presumption being, I guess that Axelrod was buying or stealing the addresses to harass them.) The Press Secretary, pointed out that the accusation was an example of trying to force your courtroom opponent to prove a negative.

Republican political strategy has come to mirror CIA tactics used to destabilize "enemy" governments that are not cooperating with the Washington Consensus. Disinformation, economic sabotage, and electoral fraud. Conservatives feel that control of the levers of power are theirs by birthright, so the end justifies any means.

Reagan was a disaster, the only reason his legacy was rewritten is because none of his former cabinet members would ever be able to get a job in Washington again. In crimes and corruption he beat out Taft.

@wateryskipper I was just thinking about Fang and wondering what he was working on. I am so impressed and if I was ever in the position to support him in a major way I would. I hope he stays safe and keeps on keeping on.
