Finally, a GPS user who flatly right out admits they are helpless in the real world, and lonely to boot, and need a computer guy in their car so they don't feel so lonely. How would you survive without electricity I wonder, like if a neutron bomb went off, or the power grid went down at home from a thunderstorm. Probably panic.
Nice job, but you should read the manual. The antenna is supposed to extend out the back of the unit horizontally. Not stick up vertically as was shown in the video. Minor point, but reception will work better in areas with heavy overhead clutter.
I have to agree with you, GPS's are a big help. But you need to retire that Nuvi 660 and get the Garmin Nuvi 5000 with MSN Direct. MSN DIrect just takes things to another level.

(12) A portable Global Positioning System (GPS), which may be
mounted in a 7-inch square in the lower corner of the windshield
farthest removed from the driver or in a 5-inch square in the lower
corner of the windshield nearest to the driver, if the system is used
only for door-to-door navigation while the motor vehicle is being
operated and outside of an airbag deployment zone.
