I went down that enbankment once but you couldn't see the sea it was that far out!

I didn't think the tide came up that far any more, what year was it?

This was in 2007. It wasn't an exceptionally high tide. It does occassionally lap over the top of the bank. Recently the bank has been re-enforced to withstand higher tides.
