straight-piping a 4-cylinder will do NOTHING but annoy your neighbors. no torque.

With an 8-cylinder, there is enough exhaust pressure to free up a lot more power with straight pipes. plus a V8 sounds WAYYYYY better than an ugly 4-cylinder.

i suggest buying a car with more cylinders :)

the horsepower for the exhaust and computer flash is about 355hp and 330tq. thats an improvement of about 15hp and 30tq. the intake i tried lost power so i went back to the stock box.

What? Sraight pipes are cheap! Just a pipe from the headers and no cat, and no resonators all the way back. This S4 sounds pretty good. I highly doubt he spent some coin on the straight pipes.

non resonated milltek is the version without the center resonators. If you think the noise is too much (it's not bad at all) you can add the center resonator section later.

that's what I ended up with. right now APR is having a 15% off sale on downpipes so you can get them for $850. Compared to $1800 for Milltek downpipes that is a steal. The catback is then another $800 or so.

Instead of the 4 OEM 600cpsi cats the APR ones have only 2, 200cpsi hiflow units. They didnt throw a CEL for me but i've heard it's hit or miss. If you get their programming it will delete the CEL. They also often have sales on them and you can pick them up for $850 which is a steal. Click on my name and look for the video that says s4 exhaust. It has in the description the APR/Milltek combo

I was thinking about getting Vast's piggie pipes (gutted precat, intact main cat) and then possibly a non-res catback system (AWE or Fast Intentions maybe?). I've also considered getting an electric cutout after the downpipe. What system did you use?

I went with APR downpipes and milltek non res catback in my other videos. Sound is fatastic. I had a Fast Intention at the house but sold it bc I was so happy with this setup. It's another great setup though. Piggies would also be fine. I really like the APR/Milltek setup though.
