    The video shows the male end going inside the flue - which is the same thing you put forth in your video presentaion as well. I think we are on the same page here. and that is that you want the creosote to drip back inside the unit.

  • Do you know that you installed the adapter backwards on your video? You always install components so that the top component goes on the outside of the bottom componet. This prevents smoke from leaking at the seam since the smoke must go down. Installing the adapter the way you did would make a stove that leaks smoke and give the stove a bad reputation it does not deserve.
