what is the point of this? I fish carp in large waters where some guys think casting 150 yards is important, but i dont think it is, I could be wrong - but does anyone agree that fighting a fish in from 150 yards is hard on the fish?

@apeioj long casting is primarily for beaches because they need to get out to deeper waters from the beach and are heading for much larger fish like shark. in any other situation i totally agree with you that it is hard on the fish

@apeioj If you're talking about large freshwater lakes there is no need to cast it a mile because most fish are some what near the shore where most of the bait fish are. But in the ocean it is not always the case, they are all over and from my experience the larger fish in general stay in deeper waters.

shit man your so right! I fish just for two years, spent 1000s of $ on this (not because i'm rich but just because i spend every cent on it)... In 2 years tried literally hundreds of rods, lines, baits, hooks, fishing technics etc. Fishing is an addiction. 2 years ago I didn't even think about, now I can spend 4 hours on the beach under rain, wind, cold weather... shit it's addictive... ))
