  • bunch of fucking losers who couldnt have done a damn thing without elvis. and then sold him out!

  • @AspenGuy949 yea, i think someone else apperas ignorant with all the name calling. i loved elvis too but he was a drug addict plain and simple.

  • First of all, besides the Presley Families, Red West is one of the first guys to hang-out with Elvis when they became friends in High School long before he got his name on the marquee and 3 years later, Sonny West came on the scene and Dave Hebler came on board in the early 70’s. By the way, did you know the reasons why Elvis fired Red West and Vernon Fired Sonny West and Dave Hebler in the first place? It’s very clear based on your several comments that you posted “I don’t think so”!

  • You are the type of person who wants to stay away from the truth! Write comments without knowing or try to avoid the real facts. These 3 guys were fired because they over stepped their boundaries as stated by Elvis cousin, Billy Smith. Yea, Billy Smith, the guy you have mentioned in the video is the ONLY ONE person that cared for Elvis and the remaining 4 guys were only there for money.

  • Elvis is the type of person that don’t respond well to anyone who tries to tell him what to do and his temper is worst if he’s under multiple medications. The Memphis Mafia guys tried to interfere in Elvis’ drug abuse from time to time but Red, Sonny and Dave were the most persistent ones. As Billy said, Elvis did not like confrontation that’s why he did what he had to do. Did you even read the book? Did you comprehend what the book was about?

  • @AspenGuy949 you may be right, were you there? if you wernt then you dont know either. just guessing because of a lying ass book.

  • @willyjhopuky1 I got my facts from reading several books about his life stories and CNN Special & they were ALL consistant with Elvis: What Happened?. How about you, where do you based your story on?

  • It was a well balanced life story of the man behind the music and in-front of the music. The book contains the very amazing, the very good, the bad and the worst side of the most famous entertainer on planet earth. They wrote the book to present Elvis with a challenge since they all knew Elvis had always risen from one if given an opportunity. Red, Sonny and Dave were hoping that Elvis would make a liar out of them by stopping his drug habit and start to better care

  • elvis was a drug addict pushed to the limits by a greedy col. parker and all the people he had to support is what i got out of it.

  • @willyjhopuky1 ask whitney houston about the fame and fortune. tragic

  • @willyjhopuky1 U R a funny guy! Elvis gets what he wants when he wants it. There's good and bad in everyone and Elvis is no exception. So stop blaming other people. Elvis is RESPONSIBLE for Elvis!

  • @AspenGuy949 Exactly, I agree. Elvis was a person used to getting everything he wanted. Everyone gave him free stuff, and no one said no to him.

  • and bring back the self respect he once had for himself and be the Elvis they and everyone in the group once knew. This includes his all around erratic behavior by 1975 and his dismal appearance in his final days. Yes, they got paid for writing the book --- the book they thought would SAVE his life! By mid 1976, it was obvious there was something terribly wrong with him. But despite these facts, people still see him perform ONLY because he is Elvis.

  • No matter how bad he looked people remembered him the way he was back in the mid 50’s, 60’s and the early 70’s --- the extremely good looking man with an incredible and beautiful gifted voice. As an Elvis fan, I have read almost all of the books that were written about him, by his ex-wife, girlfriends, families, close friends, his Memphis Mafia guys and they were ALL consistent with the book written by his 3 former bodyguards “Elvis: What Happened ”.

  • @AspenGuy949 I've read all the same books as you and everything you are saying is 100% correct. Anyone who is blaming everyone else for what happened to Elvis really just shows how ignorant and unknowing they are to the truth. Elvis was not perfect. After all he was human. He was overall a good man doing the best he could being in uncharted territory as a major success. When you have the whole world at your feet, you are bound to stumble once in a while. He did the best he could.

  • His guys, the Memphis Mafia were ALL loyal to him and really loved and cared for him very much. Yes, these guys, his other circle of friends and even strangers have accepted expensive gifts from the star. Elvis is like a child, he didn’t care much for money because he felt he could always get it back… up until towards the end of his life where he appeared so exhausted but had no other choice but to keep performing because he had bills to pay and had people on a payroll.

  • So, user: willyjhopuky1 and hitcan79 --- there are always 2 sides in every story. Just because you’re a #1 fan of the greatest entertainer who ever lived, which I truly feel Elvis IS, WAS, and ALWAYS WILL BE… Get your facts straight before making rediculous accusations. Red, Sonny and Dave are nice people. I met them once at a convention 10 years ago in TN.

  • All the kings men, that sold him out the fucking two faced Judas' fuck them

  • I taught the King how to sing. If it weren't for me, Elvis would have been a drugstore truck drivin' man.

  • All I see here is a bunch of bitter, jealous old men! Elvis was a one-of-a-kind and loved by millions. Even in death these geezers couldn't hold a candle to Elvis. Their golden cow died.

  • @moochno u need to back u here i know some of these guys and they still love Elvis and are not bitter so dont speak if u dont know what u are saying,

  • slow load

  • red west was jealous and there for the fame and to better himself thats all.

  • Is that Gabe Pressman asking him the question's?

  • elvis really did get his looks from his mam

  • red wasnt there when the king sang old shep..so why say it.by saying that.brings in to doubt everything else he says ?

  • @elvisuk if he was there to keep him from getting beatup why wouldnt he be there for the talent show?

  • @elvisuk were u there?

  • @elvisuk Red was referring to Humes High Talent Show. Not the contest, held at the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show on October 3, 1945, where dressed as a cowboy, the ten-year-old Elvis stood on a chair to reach the microphone and sang "Old Shep". Come on man, call yourself an Elvis Fan!!!!! You need to do your basic homework on Elvis.

  • I bought this on VHS Tape and i think i wore the tape out but, i love hearing the stories from all the Guys that were really there and Thanks for Posting My Friend ! Thanks for sharing "IF"
