first of all this girl is trying to belly dance but is failing. just cuz she looks it and has a cane means nothing. she cant dance. secondly, young girls bellydancing is no big deal. i grew up doing so.its not a sexual thing its a cultural thing. back in the day the best belly dancers werent fit young women, they were meaty older women...its not a sexual thing at all, so theres no problem for a young girl to dance like this as long as in her eyes shes doing it for a love for her culture.

Maybe she is not the best bellydancer, but she does bellydance. It's clearly a saidi and if she has some lack in her tehcnique, she clearly feel the essence of this dance style. I agree that there is nothing sexual about this. But she can dance. Let her some years and she will become great. She's only a little girl. Let her the time to learn lol

I see nothing sexual at all about the dance. Just because she's not in a western style dress doesn't mean it's immodest. If she were playing in the sand on the beach, she'd probably be wearing a lot less clothing, and you wouldn't call it immodest.

this is perfectly appropriate. people have made these kinds of moves sexual when they are merely a cultural dance. They are not meant to be seductive but now a days people have transformed them to make them seem seductive. Ballet is a very flexible dance, why not see that as sexual? both dances, both elegant and beautiful

why are you so ignorant of other cultures!? this is a completely different culture with completely different standards, and incase you were too blind to notice, if you had payed attention, maybe you would have realized that most music in other cultures tell stories, not only is this a culturally acceptable art, but it is a story telling process.... so.... go read a few books on the dance or something, because apparently you know nothing of this culture and are in no position to judge...

No, the dance originated as a form of sacred expression and communion with nature and spirit (long before it became an entertainment or a way to snag spouses). Those learning it usually began as soon as they could walk. It wasn't an INHERENTLY sexual expression - the flailing and frenetic motions were articulations of joy, even rapture. The fact that it is *NOW* considered an expression of feminine sexuality is an entirely "modern" (meaning the past three thousand-ish years) perception. (cont.)

Why *preemptively punish* a child because of POSSIBILITIES?
