I don't think you can compare the two. Ryan's trying to do something with the song that is very different from what the Stones did.

And please lets not get a bunch of Adam's fans bashing the Stones. I think Ryan would tell you that he's got...eeehh...35-40 years in the biz. to go before he can really be compaired to the Stones.

Don't get me wrong I think Ryan is a great artist and you just don't see that very often these days. But lets be fair, no other band has done it like the stones.

like the stones have some classic tracks and i think they are great.. But the who have done so much more.. Even listen to their version of Under my Thumb. It's on odds and sods. Much more creative band

its not a coincidence that following this version the stones asked him to support him on their US tour and the same applies for Oasis asking the cardinals to support them following his version of wonderwall. Artists respect how Ryan Adams can turn their great songs into greater songs

i used to hate this version... especially after hearing the Rolling Stones original... i just could never get into it coz it was different...

no problem :D, the song is actually an official release from a "charity" album i think... You can also download it (like i did), it is included in the "ryan adams: b-sides and rarities"... Ryan Adams have also played it live..
