there homing pigeons n that thingy that they come out of is called a transporter ..... they take the pigeons to races n let thm go ........ pigeons come home because they are suppose to have a magnetic thingy in there brain or sumet like dat ....... my dad races pigeons sooooooo lol =]

They are all homing pigeons. They are able to come back home from up to 1,000 miles away. This is most likely a pigeon race, hence there being so many released at the same time.
