Oot isn't better.. Majoras mask brought back more memories then Oot. Majoras Mask was MUCH bigger than ocarina of time, it had a new challenge and I loved hwo you could change into zora, goron, deku, fierce diety and my fav GIANT LINK.
Even if they think OoT is better, how can people possibly say it has a better soundtrack. Termina Field with the zelda theme? Clock Town? Ikana Castle? Final Hours? Stone Tower and Stone Tower Flipped? The Cursed Area Themes? The Battle Themes? I think the only songs in Ocarina of Time that stand a chance against Majora's Masks songs are the Forest Temple theme and the Gerudo Valley Theme.
@gameaddict51 I couldn't agree with you more! Majora's Mask has a WAAAYYYY better soundtrack. But I like the song from when you are inside the Spirit Temple a lot, too. Just wanted to add another (semi) good one! :)

@Starthunder100ify Come on, it's not even a hard game. As for the time limit, you can play the "Reverse Song of Time" which makes time flow 3 times slower, basically giving you about 4 hours. That should be enough for everything.
@Starthunder100ify You may want to restart a game then, and pay attention to the text :P Also it might help to use a guide for some of the more confusing parts (the beginning, unfortunately can be pretty confusing before you get your ocarina).

The Deku's Palace theme will haunt me to the day I die, because I spent so long as a kid trying to get past all those gaurds and the flying platforms, and for it all to be in vain upon hearing that stupid whistle when you got caught! Great game and great video though :)

Because the graphics are too detailed, the areas are too big, and the N64 (without the Extension Pak) can't display and control that many objects at the same time.
@GodofDeath66666@batursi Not in the same way. OoT has smaller and less detailed areas with a lot less scripted NPC actions. While the entire map of OoT may be big, too, the only really big open area was Hyrule Field, and even that was mostly empty. Keep in mind, in OoT most npc's were just standing around, and the game only had to deal with their stuff when you talked to them. In MM they all acted according to the time.
@PhoenixWright56784 The expansion pack acts as RAM (Random Access Memory ) Just like a computer with more RAM you can play better detailed Games. BTW this is also important because little do most people know all gaming consoles Have a processor to digitize data, and display, so in this case the N64 has like 4 MB of RAM without the Expansion pack. The expansion is another 4, so this way the data flow that gets copied by the N64 Processor has somewhere to sit.

I mean, poor Link has gone through endless 3-day cycles to save the land of Termina, helped the inhabitants and ran his ass off, yet no one takes the time to invite him to take a break and enjoy the carnival before taking off on his journey? Stone Tower Temple and Deku Palace are just epic and awesome, I think they are the best in the entire series (I also like Dragoon Roost Island's theme in Wind Waker... but it has nothing to do with this xD)

I agree with you that MM is underrated. I can't believe there are actually people who think it's really overrated. Just cause they don't like it doesn't mean it is.
the only thing that has ever kept me from considering Majora's Mask better than OoT is the forced time limit. I love exploring and taking my time with Zelda games, and the constant feeling of being rushed was just never something i was able to get used to.

Majora's Mask is worlds above Ocarina of Time, in my opinion, soundtrack included. You just can't beat stuff like Stone Tower Temple.

two song on this list also appear in OOT which are the twin witches theme and the some in the mysteriouse forest (also theme in lost woods AKA saria's song) so i wouldnt really count them as majoras mask songs

dude you didnt put last end :'( thats my fav song in the game. when the last 6 hours are playing and all your heroic deeds have all failed and clock town is still going to be crushed by the moon. everyone has fled from clock town and there is only the postman,anju/keafi (sorry if i spelled keafi wrong havnt played in forever) but still with links ocarina he can have as many try's as he wants :)

Stone Tower Temple theme is just epic...my fav in MM (and also one of the best temple il all LoZ games !)...but.........WHERE IS SONG OF HEALING ? 0_0

As I already stated a million times, it's my TEN favorite, not the collection of all songs I liked. Actually I considered making a 20-11 list too, because there's so much left out, like the Song of Healing too.

@MYLITTLEPECKER I agree with you...but i prefer Stone tower temple anyway...btw both M'sM and OoT are masterpieces...so sad M'sM is so underrated (even by Nintendo themselves who don't speak alot about this game)...

@Reescape Yeah though there was so much to do in M'SM. sidequests like the bombshop robber. ranch bandits/aliens. the woman in the inns fiance. they relaunched OoT now wouldnt mind a M'SM remake.

i agree that MM is very underrated but oot's music is much better and more memorable like gerudo valley, also termina field's music is just hyrule field morning theme and Mysterious forest is lost woods so your, basically saying that some of the best music in MM is just music from a game with a worse soudtrack according to you

Basically with this I say that the same song that got a very high place in the OoT list got a low place here. That's how much MM's music is better.

The dungeons in this game were just too difficult and lengthy for me to beat... Maybe because I'm a wimpy girl... xD

@zZRaikouZz I'm a wimpy girl too and got creeped out by MM, especially encountering the water factory-dungeon boss for the first time! but over all I found them really challenging and fun :)
My other favourite song is when Link has a battle with enemy and that music plays until the enemy is defeated, it starts with a xylophone tune with some trumpets hehe

You know, I also think MM is underrated. Yes, it had a better sound track. But, the graphics are exactly the same as OoT. They also use the same people, like Kotake and Koume. They are the same people who play Ganons' parents. Even though HMS is the same man at the shop. This game also includes the girl on Lon Lon Ranch. It's a great game.

The two N64 games use the same graphical engine, but in Majora's Mask it's greatly improved. There's a reason it only works with the expansion pack.

Stone Tower music reminds me of Heim Rada and Mount Gundor from Dark Cloud 2, probably because of the harmonizing flutes :P
Deku Palace was pretty kickass, check out the Orchestration version on the ZeldaPower website if you haven't yet

the only thing that has ever kept me from considering Majora's Mask better than OoT is the forced time limit. I love exploring and taking my time with Zelda games, and the constant feeling of being rushed was just never something i was able to get used to.

I prefer the music in this game. I'm a musician drawn to slow darkness myself, music with mystery in it; and this music is more seductive of the two games because it seems less open, richer.
