That would be called a "sock". They are usually worn on the feet but they are on the drums to increase sensitivity.

I can't wait to play this on Friday (When RB2 comes out in the UK)! This is one of my all time favourite songs and the drumming is just unbelievably good. Sounds like something's wrong with your set. My friend has the RB2 set and they work really well. The neoprene heads they have on the new ones give great rebound. Slap another layer of neoprene on that and you're golden.

you're both fucking stupid. for one, there's no rebound on the shitty kits they design, so holding sticks the "right" way can be an issue, for two, as far as drumming is concerned, you can hold the sticks however the hell you want, as long as you know what you're doing. and for THREE, if you're actually THAT good at the game, then you're capable of being good at real drums as well, trust me. i did it.

@Renfred93 There is no holding the sticks right or wrong. If he can play the drums like that, let him play it. It may not be as effective on real drums as the traditional "normal" grip, but these aren't real drums here.
