this is a waaaayyyyy better angle than the classic back view most badminton is shot in. the other way is so flat. this shows more depth. it may not look as "scenic" and geometric as the other way, but it shows way more depth on the court... and shows the real movement. i wish the networks realized this. moving cameras would be better too.

lol oh thats because he couldn't lunge for it so he had to do a split hop to get to the shuttle faster. Kinda like cheating but not really. In real badminton terms, he should be lunging it and not hopping for it cause that can cause u to lose balance if not done correctly but since hes at a professional level it doesn't matter for him. well I think that's because in this case, peter gade used the speed of the oncoming shuttlecock to "lift" it back softly over the net. I think the whole movement he does just then is just cos he extended his racquet out to the right =]

Guys guys, keep it cool! The pointless arguing here won't go nowhere, it really doesn't matter which sport is more difficult than the other, what matters is the uniqueness of it! Hockey, as a team sport, requires good teamwork and accuracy, whereas badminton needs concentration and extreme fitness. Both are equally demanding in their own level, where different requirements are needed.
