  • In a sane world copyright on the cartoons you watched as a kid would lapse by the time you're an adult. In this world it will be restricted after your grandchildren are dead. Goodbye all media from the 20th century.

  • Given the cartoon came after the live-action show, and the live-action show made it clear Melmac was blown up, would this cartoon be the first-ever "prequel"? :)

  • damn..nostalgia deluxe over here:)

  • I remember watching Alf on SKY Channel in the UK during 1989 and on SKY One during 1990s

  • hairy tits

  • This series should be on dvd.

  • damn... the animation was pretty good!

  • @somebodysentme it came out every saturday morning on NBC

  • Alf looks like Geoge Lucas.

  • Awesome cartoon! Very subversive humor. I'm looking for the episode where Alf have to wrestle the giant clam and make it sing. The other half of the show was like Fractured Fairy Tales.

  • This was an awesomely underrated cartoon

  • Melmacians have funny looking ships.

  • I totally remember this show!

  • Why do they wear shirts but no pants?....

  • @Deltaspeed93

Maybe we should ask Donald Duck about that.

  • If this wasn’t another planet you could say that this is an alternate time of the 1950s view of what the 1980s would become.

  • I think the weirdness come from the times when this cartoon was made. In the 1980s, there was this urge to return/relive the 1950s. The Alf cartoon intro mimics 1950s sax do-wop type music as well as Gordon and his friends’ cars have big fins and lots of chrome. Their airplanes recall the front large intake 1950s jet fighters like the F-100 Super Sabre and the F-8 Crusader.

  • Did y'all remember the episode where they were reliving some fairytale crap/ There was a "Rapunzel" character at the op of a tower and she needed some saving. Alf was dressed up like he was a member of Run DMC. He even had a litttle rap and shit. I have NO IDEA why i remember this stuff. It's so oooooold But that Run DMC bit was just fuckin hilarious.

one of my favs as a kid, anyone who's around thirty will love this, fraggle rock and racoons.

  • so cute <3

    :D

  • I remember this well.. But there was something really weird about this cartoon.

Hard to explain,, but somehow there was some kind of underlying weirdness in this whole cartoon.

  • my god. this is my god damned childhood. I NEED THE FULL EP!

  • Hey! I remember seeing this one as a kid, and even not entire episode. I know U can't upload it, but maybe U could tell me how the colonel kept calling Gordon, when he took him as someone else?

    Thnx

  • Silly old Alf!

  • He's name is Gordon Chumway

  • @remanuelmr

    Gordon Shumway

  • Larson Petty is Melmac's version of the late Saddam Hussain (or maybe Hitler?)

  • alf is very funny and cool
