Too bad this is 64 thousand vs the 53 thousand base corvette convertable. You can buy aftermarket mods to make it look just like this for way less than dealer installed.

I almost selected cyber gray. It's a great looking color. But, as I walked through the parking lot at work one day, I noticed that all of the cars were black, gray, silver or white. So, I went with crystal red to give us a little color out there.

@CeeStyleDj I remember seeing the 2009 sales figures last year and I think Cyber gray was either second or third behind black in popularity. I have no idea what 2010 sales figures will be. I've yet to see a Cyber Gray Corvette on the road, despite the popularity of the color.

@CeeStyleDj I didn't see the 2010 production stats, but in 2009 they only made 1 in LeMans Blue. That may be because they introduced the color late in the production year. Only 726 were made in Atomic Orange. That's probably why you couldn't buy one in Atomic Orange in 2010.

436 hp. 3.9 to 60. 12.2 in the quarter at 117 mph.  It doesnt need to be any faster. I particularly like the add ons and the z06 styling. The Grand Sport has persuaded me into getting a vette because I want the targa top and an automatic. New xpipe and catback along with different intake system and the car is well over 450 hp which is way may than anyone could ever want for a street car.

I never said it wasn't a fast car. It's simply over-ornamented to the point of being gaudy. It looks like it was designed by committee. Chevy needs to take some serious styling cues from Pininfarina, because the Vette deserves far better. It could have been a sleek, sexy, all-American brawler, but the styling lacks flow and cohesion. The Ferrari F430 and California are perfect examples of jaw-dropping beauty and lethal performance. And the Vette should have it too.

Moronic? coandcaiv, show me a car that has as much hp per dollar that can be daily driven, and then you can say Chevy was moronic for making this or any Corvette. Of course you can't, so your assertion is, well, ignorant really. The Corvette isn't just a big engine in a car- it's the total package. It can't do everything a $175k 911 turbo can do, but it comes extraordinarily close for a fraction of the cost.

Chevrolet is moronic for many reasons- the Corvette is not one of them.

A lot more people buy a $50k convertible than $100k supercars. The Grand Sport performs extremely well, but you essentially get what you pay for in performance. This car looks sick, and it performs much better than most other $50k cars will perform. Learn your shit, big guy.

the GS is a C6 thats has the handling of the Z06. Learn you history. The GS has always been less powerful than the Zr1 or Zo6 models. This on trim is about handling now power.

Some people want the looks of the Z06 wide-body, but with a targa top or a convertible. Now they can have it. This just increases the range available - fills a little gap in the Corvette range. I like it and may go for one next year if I can save my pennies! :)

More $, 103 lbs heavier & slower then my 09 Z51! No thanks. I'm glad I bought the 09 & not waited for this. I've always liked the wider bodied Z06 style but not the added weight. If G.M. really wanted to do something cool, they should have took out some weight or at the very least..... added LED lighting.

I do like the new fender gills......much nicer then the ZR-1's
